Oh shit! Quilmes is beating Lanus! Still plenty of time to go, but this result would keep us within a realistic distance of fighting for the title (3 points). Dale cervecero!
I don't think Lanus is that great of a team. He has them playing pretty well, but they are beatable for sure. i think newell's is a bigger threat. they have the same collective understanding, but with the individual brilliance of Scocco to push them over the edge in touch games, like against us. Lanus doesn't have that type of player But not Quilmes is down to 10 men. Will be hard for them now
2-0 Quilmes. Damn, they've really been on the come up. If they hold on to the result, they'll only be two points behind Newell's/Lanus. Independiente fans never saw this coming.
Fucking Quilmes can't hold on to the result. 2-2. According to Ole, Loustau didn't call a penalty for the Cerveceros when the game was still 2-1.
So I guess grondona is doing all that he can to help independiente, as those muertos couldn't score a goal despite having 17 chances
Colon is beating Newell's 1-0 right now, would be nice if they can hold on to at least a draw. Later, Boca vs. Lanus. It would be helpful for us if Bosta wins, but thats against my religion. A tie would be most helpful TBH
I didn't see the game today between Lanus and All Boys, but it looks like Guillermo's team got a helping hand: El arbitro Giannini dio un gol de Regueiro en offside pero le anuló uno a Sánchez por una falta inexistente de Vildozo. Regueiro había hecho el primero y luego descontó Vildozo para un All Boys que mereció más y fue privado de un tanto por el árbitro Giannini. Like I said, I didn't see the game so I can't comment on the refs decisions, but based on the above text the result should have been the other way around. Anyone manage to catch the match?
So... I used to think this key chain was a joke. Then I was walking down Florida today, and actually saw them in a shop... Some key chain maker either has a great sense of humor, or if he's a san lorenzo fan, a wild imagination
Those keychains are about as useful as all those "tricampeon" shirts and flags Boca mass produced not long ago.
San Martin SJ just beat Lanus 3-1. If we beat Rafaela today, we would leap ahead of Lanus by one point and catch up to Newell's, who faces Boca after our game. Vamo River carajooo!
After today's win, it's safe to say Newell's will almost surely win the title. However, they could still lose to Argentinos Jrs. next week and have a playoff final vs. us if we beat both Lanus and San Martin. Heinze, however, isn't very cautious and already thinks Newell's are champions. Two of his statements today: “Yo ya me siento campeón... Falta matemáticamente, pero no me interesa si peco de agrandado. Tarde o temprano siento que voy a levantar este título” "Que mejor que irme así, con la alegría de haber ganado un título?" Oh how nice it would be to have that unlikely scenario happen, only to be concluded by a final between River and Newell's and our players lifting the trophy in front of his face. I can dream...
Newells I have to admit have been the best team. They have played some great futbol and in Scocco have the best player in Argentina. The midfield is great to watch and they have done well in the Libertadores as well.Martino is a great tecnico and should get the job in the selecion some day.
elixir and cauteruccio together mas at left full back and Alvarez in goal. They finished the final as well as anyone and apparently will hold on to the base. The first round of the Sudamericana will not be easy
