The ESPN guys were going on for 2 mins about how Hummels would be a transfer target of some EPL team. Half of the German team will be linked with an EPL team if they win this thing.
He already has been as far as I'm concerned. He said he had a "tempting offer" before he extended with BVB, but would not say who made the offer. I'm almost certain that offer came from Manchester United......... Especially if England beats Italy on Sunday and Germany spanks England on the way to the final..........
The Traitor Bastard agrees with me on this one.......... Hitzfeld: Bayern Doesn't Need Dzeko Story here.
"kicker" is reporting here that Bayern is after Wolfsburg's Croatian international striker Mario Mandzukic. The story says Mandzukic wants to join Bayern and the transfer fee being negotiated between the clubs is between 12 and 15M Euros. What does this make Pizarro? Is he now wishing he'd talked to BVB?? As stated when it came to Dzeko, I believe Bayern needs another star striker like it needs a hole in the head. But hey, it could also work...... Does anyone here think Magath will do this deal and use that money to try to lure Edin Dzeko back to Wolfsburg???
THAT would be Ironic, us getting Mandzukic (plan B) and then Dzeko (Plan A) returning to the BL anyway! Uli's head would Blow up. Just the chance of that happening should lure him AWAY from that deal.
I honestly don't think Dzeko wants to return to Wolfsburg. However, if anyone can talk him into it, Felix can. I believe Dzeko is one of the few star players Magath has had over the past five or six years who Felix still has a decent relationship with.
More Miscellaneous News: The first story is one for MetroChile!! Bayer Leverkusen has signed 23-year old Chilean international striker Junior Fernandes (pictured above) from Universidad de Chile. Within the same "kicker" report, it was reported that Leverkusen also signed an 18-year old Brazilian right back on loan. His "player name" is "Carlitos" (real name: Carlos Vinicius Santos de Jesus) and he joins Leverkusen from Sao Paulo club Desportivo Brasil. Bayer reportedly paid a 100,000 Euro loan fee for Carlitos. It is speculated that Bayer wants to evaluate Carlitos under their system as a player for the future. VfB Stuttgart, who were said to be very interested in Werder Bremen's 25-year old German/Polish outside defender Sebastian Boesnich, seems to have changed their minds according to "kicker." "kicker" speculates Stuttgart's attention has turned to PSV Einhoven's 26-year old Bulgarian international Stanislav Manolev (pictured above). FC Augsburg is said to have interest in 1. FC Köln's Polish attacking outside midfielder Slawomir Peszko (pictured in white above). Peszko's agent has said while his client would prefer to stay in the Bundesliga, it will be hard for Augsburg to get him. Apparently, Peszko has offers from Turkish clubs Bursaspor and Galatasaray. Rumors say Gladbach's preferred target to replace Dante in their back four, 23-year old Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa of Montpellier, is leaning toward extending with the defending French champions. "kicker" speculates Gladbach will turn their attention to 23-year old Atletico Madrid defender Alvaro Dominguez. Speculated transfer price to be around 8M Euros. I might have covered this before. However, going back to Montpellier, they have confirmed the sale of French international striker Olivier Giroud to Arsenal FC. Giroud was reportedly once a Bayern transfer target. Hertha BSC Berlin is said to be interested in FC Scheisse 04 midfielder Peer Kluge (pictured above). The 31-year old Kluge, who has also played at Gladbach and 1. FC Nürnberg, was brought to Scheisse by former coach Felix Magath and has no future chances at that club under current coach Huub Stevens. Kluge's contract with Scheisse expires after the current season. Meaning, if they really want the player, Hertha should be able to secure Kluge's services for a very reasonable price, if not a free transfer.
I definitely think Mandzukic wants to go to Bayern..Personally i think Mandzukic is a good player but he is not good enough to start for Bayern..If he does go there he will probably he a backup for multiple positions as Mario can play foward left or right wing..I wish Mario could patch things up with Magaath but i can't see it..Mario was good for Wolfsburg but he did hit a patch of bad form in the middle of the season..With Mario coming off an impressive Euros his price tag might never be as high as now..There is some interest from Juve but Mario does not want to go to Italy..
It'll be the "big splash" you were referring to not long ago. "Hey fans! We signed an EM star!" I actually believe this guy could do your club some good. If his presence doesn't help to make already bad team chemistry worse. If they get him, it could work. I think the chances are better it won't work, but it could.........
*IF* his form stays as is, I agree. He would be a good "platoon" striker for BL games to take the heat off of Gomez.
I love your honesty here. I think if he goes to Bayern without any ego, this could work for them and him.
I agree. This is pretty much what I was referring to in my response to "cromagnum." If he goes to Bayern without ego.......
I think it's a good pick up for the Arsenal. Hopefully, N'Villa will sign and RvP will come back... with a healthy Wilshere...we might make a legit run for the title.... a lot of Ifs...but there is optimism in Goonerland
And all indicators say this is a done deal.... No Dzeko.... FO: Please look outside the BL...there are no currently available 'bomb' tranfers. remaining... Uli claimed to want 2nd string players worthy of Barca/Madrid..... *sigh*
Not sure I get this statement. My point was Bayern has oodles of cash and could easily open their wallet -- to the extent Bayern and their fiscally conservative Board will allow -- to buy the players they need. Not saying they need to go all Barca or Real or ManCity or anything...but getting that next tier talent to supplement their BL campaign so their REAL stars can focus on CL.
