Not sure where to put this so it might as well be here. Denaldin Hamzagic, 2009 Revs draftee, has popped up at FK Sarajevo in the Bosnian League. He scored the winning penalty in the Europa League 3rd qualifying round tonight as his club advanced over Helsingborg of Sweden.

Who knows. He may just show back in the Revs preseason camp in 2010 or 2011. We hold his rights for two years, we didn't have open space when he became available and he needed professional playing time so he went to Europe. TBD
Or if he's doing well enough in Europe, he'll just stay there and move to a better league. Either way, good luck to him.
We'll see. The Bosnian league isn't any great shakes, although there are certainly worse leagues in Europe. The reputation of Bosnian footballers is on the rise all across Europe as a bunch are doing really well, so I'd guess that the Bosnian league is scouted pretty well for a lower-tier league. I'd say we are in one of those unfortunate situations, like with Toronto and Joe Lapira, who signed with Nybergsund, a tiny team in Norway's second division. If Hamzagic and Lapira do well, they'll move on to bigger and better things in Europe -- why sign for the miserable $30k contract that MLS gives to all the crawl-backers? If they don't do well.....well, what are the chances that a guy who couldn't cut it at Nybergsund or Sarajevo will cut it at an MLS club? There are always extenuating circumstances. Hamilton Academical is no great shakes, but injury hampered Videira's chances there. But I doubt we'll ever see Hamzagic again unless the trail really runs cold for him.
Vincenzo Bernardo, of Napoli academy fame and BigSoccer Legend status, is apparently leaving the club to sign with MLS. He's a forward and we are 5th in the allocation order and desperate. He may well be another Brandon Manzonelli, who knows. We'd need to open up a roster spot and I'm not sure if it's worth it, but at least he's an American so we wouldn't have to worry about international slots. Probably not going to happen, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Maybe we should kill these threads. If they were full of point-and-laugh posts, it would be one thing, but this one has been full of why-can't-we-do-that posts, and it's just depressing.
point and laugh at jersey in the background. cuz at the end of the day, they still all live there lol

Fair enough. It's probably wrong how I did it, but I looked at PPG to get my matchups since Chivas has two games in hand to get 2 points ... etc.
