What a joke of a club. I wonder if Tony Fernandes will try to dump the club next seasons? Pallotta should give him a call.
News today - Arsenal set for 1.5 BILLION takeover bid. Apparently the funds are coming from both Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (shock horror) FOR SALE - The entire Premier League, buy it now or nearest offer! The future of football, you can't pay, you can't compete.
I was surprised to find out he is Italian as I had never heard of him before until I saw him score several months ago. He had made barely no impression whatsoever in Serie A. He looks to be a nice piece of business now though for 3m. The Vitesse left-back, Patrick van Aanholt, is a good little player. He is perhaps their best route of playing it out from the back as he is very intelligent in possession. And when I see the likes of Willems starting for PSV, I wondered why van Aanholt was at Vitesse. Then I read he was on loan from his mother club Chelsea. Made more sense after that.
It's easy for strikers to score goals in the dutch competition. It's like the spanish competition. They don't know how to defend.
It mostly has to do with the physicality of the Dutch league. Defenders in that league have never really been able to cope with a player like Jozy. Saying that I have to give him his due Jozy is actually playing better on a rather poor team. Jozy has proven to be a player that thrives when he gets service and he's getting that at the moment and creating for others. While he's never really been that great for the Nats, he hasn't gotten the service necessary to make that a reality since around the World Cup when he was a very different player. I doubt if he leaves the Netherlands he'll have the same goal tally but I think he'll score if he gets to a team that can get him the ball. He's been linked to Fiorentina (by Seltzer so there must be substance to it), I think that would be an interesting move. If Rossi gets healthy and Jovetic stays I think the role he could play would open up spaces everywhere and make them very dangerous. Apparently he has a lot of clubs scouting him.
besiktas scores a winning goal at home in the dying seconds of the match vs fenerbahce!!!! only 5 seconds left to go when they scored crazy scenes 3-2!!!
Yes I flicked it over to that game after an away goal, I had the speakers up to loud and it nearly deafened me lol...It was a very loud hate filled whistling noise
Good player. I'm surprised he couldn't really hack in Europe.... guess there is a lot more competition there though.....
