If I know women, and sometimes I think I do, you banning her from here has probably worked in a certain way. In other words ..... Hi Mrs. Hedbal!
Exactly. I showed my wife the forum. Even set her up with a username. That was 7 years ago, and I can pretty much guarantee she hasn't been back since.
Kansas City to reveal ultra secret new DP tomorrow. Also, Rafa Marquez tells Mexican television that the MLS is a "league for amateurs"
I've seen the Marquez quote around and figure that sort of arrogance was shared by El Tri towards the USMNT during his heyday with the team.
Is it really called marriage when you follow somebody home and just move in without their consent? Thx, Jay!
Well it is good to know that DC United beat him in the Inter-American Cup in 1998! He wasn't good enough then, and he is certainly not good enough now! Metro/Red Cancer the gift that keeps on giving!
This could just keep getting better! http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/teams/redbulls2.php?article_id=32542
Oh please, please, please, please, pretty ********ing please let Houl be impressed. Eric Wynalda meet Terry Henry....let the fighting begin.
I don't get why United fans so often are like this about Skins or Nats doing well. I get that we hate the deal on Nats Park and how it made things harder for DC, but that's not the team. Lots of great young players on DC sports teams... spread the love around, especially when DCU isn't in season and isn't even making any signings or news.
For the Washington-area professional football team, it's the racist nickname, the owner, and the similarity some of their fans have to Seattle Sounders fans. It's a struggle for me, because a lot of good friends of mine are fans of the team in Landover, and I like my friends and want them to be happy; but then, I think about the racist nickname and the owner and the other fans of the team. For the Nationals, it's as you've written above, and I don't understand what you mean by "that's not the team." If you mean "that's not Bryce Harper," that's true. But it is the organization as a whole. For every team I don't like in every sport that exists, I'm sure there are *some* good, decent people affiliated with that team that have never done anything to get on my bad side.
That kid might be a Broncos fan too. He probably has a few... Speaking of Bryce Harper and jumping on bandwagons... Bryce Harper was for Washington last night. In the past, he excitedly proclaimed he was a Dallas/Yankees/Duke fan (or a Satanists as it's more commonly referred to).
Duke Satanists - I hadn't heard that before, and it's really funny. I'm a Duke graduate, but I never thought the pitchfork-wielding Devil properly represented the typical quiet, cultured, humanistic Duke gentlemen I knew there (Sonny Jurgensen, for example). My father was a Virginia Tech grad, but I don't think he was ever able to explain what a "Hokie" was.
