********ing Scotland for making us think we had a chance in the next couple of games.

Better lock it down if they want to beat Guatemala.

    Thx,

    Jay!

I have no expectations of beating Guatemala away. Didn't before these 3 games and surely do not now. A tie, I do expect.

Winter steps down. Record 7-22-15 with one away win.

The next coach will almost certainly be of Italian descent, my guess. Goodbye Total Football, hello Catenaccio.

What a disaster. Toronto FC, making the Maple Leafs look well managed.

Clearly Toronto are a offensive juggernaut, they have three players nominated for the All-Star game while we have one (Santos).

    TORONTO FC (3):
Danny Koevermans, Ryan Johnson, Joao Plata
    Koevermans - 3 goals
    Johnson - 1 goal
    Plata - 0 goals

By the way, Salihi with four goals (these three combined total)...not nominated.

Yes, I am aware most of us, myself included, are not bothered by this whole concept and prefer not to see United players participate, just amusing is all. Shame we can not vote Juventus players in....Columbus maybe?

Plata?! How? Why? I don't care about who's nominated from United, but I don't understand this at all.

Why are the goal line officials on the same side as the ARs? Seems silly to have two officials with the same line of sight.

    Euro observations so far:
Poland v Greece was poor play but great drama
I saw Prometheus last night so I can understand how disappointed the Polish fans must be right now.
ESPN clearly hired Ballack so we're all thankful for Lalas.

    What?!

One person on that set knows what they are talking about and clearly, its not Lalas. He digust me, how out of his depth he is.

or did I miss the sarcasm?

If they were writing an essay I would probably agree with you but this is not the written form. Try not to whisper, read your notes, and learn to interact with the others and your tools. Insightful commentary does not need to come at the expense of being engaging.

    I agree sir.

I just feel the first step is to actually know what you are talking about.

Something without ridiculous plot holes, a bit of character depth would be nice, and characters making logical or understandable decisions. I'm looking past the too frequent cringe-worthy dialogue.

So, are we talking bad along the lines of the three George Lucas' Star Wars prequel films? I haven't even bothered to watch the last one of those so far. Well, I suppose that Ridley Scott can't come up with an Alien, Blade Runner or Gladiator every time up.

Guess I'll wait for it to come out on Netflix.

Oh no no no. It's not awful or unwatchable like Lucas movies. But many things don't necessarily make sense. It's disappointing but a visual feast. I saw it in IMAX 3D (my first 3D) film and I say the 3D added nothing but my friend said she liked it. I say save that money, It's wonderful to look at on a big screen (much better than there's crap all over the screen like a Lucas or Michael Bay movie). Unfortunately, besides the obvious problems it tries too hard for greatness and to connect to larger ideas.

I actually think it's the script's fault not Scott's. And one of the 'Lost' creators/writers wrote this and it's about the same as the show: big ideas that don't make logical sense or add up (the difference is they said the show wasn't meant to make sense, this movie should-I mean for a movie set the in the future with aliens).
