Ruiz has a tendency to dive and exaggerate contact. He's also a whiny player. I can't stand him.

That said, I wouldn't mind having him on my team. He's strong as a bull, and works very hard for his team. And he can score goals. With good service, he's one of the most effective forwards this league has seen.

Yup, when upright. He has real talent, though.

I forget who it was against, but there was a play a couple of years ago where he was in alone on the defense. He took a really hard hit and was knocked flat. Most forwards would have stayed down and taken the foul. He rolled forward, up onto his feet, and scored a goal. I thought it was one of the best goals of the year.

BTW, Doe reminds me of Ruiz in how he runs, how strong he is, and how he turns off his defenders.

    And he isn't whiny.

I hate Ruiz because he is a very good player. But he ruins that by playing extremely dirty. Disgustingly dirty. He pulls, punches, kicks, probably pinches and bites, and cheap-shots guys when the ref isn't looking. And he dives like nobody's business.

Guys like Franchino and Heaps (*spit*) have to play that way because they aren't good, but Ruiz does not have to be like that - it is just his nature, as the story goes.

Kind of why I'm learning to hate Blanco.

but ....... I would only hope he gets signed by New Jersey if getting rid of him did not help LA so much. No one should help LA be rid of such a salary albatross, especially since they thumbed their noses at the rules to get him in the first place. No, I say everyone should refuse to trade with LA.

This is why I love DCU fans so much. Thanks guy, now if only Riz would understand me a little better and not get on my case.

I see you're an Argentina supporter. What do you think of Aimar going to Benfica?

He played in a league I don't care about. I saw him in the occasional USA game and that was about it until last year.

That's disappointing. You should have started shouting "DC United" in his face (or at least his general direction).

As the cross is being played, Ruiz jumps up and nails his cleats into Ricardo's thigh - Ricardo retaliates after the play by kicking the downed Ruiz in the ribs - Ruiz then rolls around on the ground holding his head - Both were given Red Cards for their antics

Yeah, well last game against Atlante I went to the bathroom did the business and decided to sit up top and enjoy the view behind all the supporters for a while. I looked around and there was this one guy sitting by himself in a XXX-large Dallas FC jersey (the putrid light blue hoops). And I was so dumbdounded I couldn't say anything!

Enjoyed the view, huh? No one complained about you sitting up top in the bathroom and checking out the supporters' behinds? Sicko... I'm surprised you didn't get your ass kicked.
