Repeated apologies for habitual egregious behavior is nothing more than spin control. Plain and simple... he's a worthless piece of garbage.
Started watching SJ vs CUSA hoping they'd all self combust but I'm definitely rooting for CUSA. All SJ does is hack.
Watched Sean Franklin versus Dallas today. He started out poorly, getting beat multiple times by Dallas players, including having some responsibility on Dallas' goal. But after Zach Lloyd's red card, Dallas sat back on their short-lived 1-0 lead, and Sean was very good on attack. He provided a great far post high cross that ended up being the winning goal from Boswell, and scored a great skillful goal on a combo play started by Rolfe. DC is looking a lot better this year - more quality on the team. And then Dallas ended up with 9 men - not a good night for them!!
Whitecaps tie it up in Salt Lake with the last kick of the game 2-2. Maybe that 2-2 last weekend wasn't the worst result in the world.
I think it's too hard to accurately determine what a good result is simply because every team is so inconsistent. 2 week ago I was ready to crown Dallas champions. They got beat by DC tonight who two weeks ago looked like an extension of last seasons team but tonight looked good. It's insane!
Tough to judge. Dallas played with 10 men for 50+ minutes, which probably went a long ways toward making DC look good.
So...Seattle. Hoping we crush them again this year, but Martins + Dempsey have finally figured out how to play with each other. Mostly because Clint has stopped going into the defensive third to retrieve the ball (hello Jurgen - are you watching?). EDIT: Jurgen is clearly watching as he tweeted about him again. Seriously - his twitter is like favored nation status.
Can't wait to smash Seattle and TFC so people can stop talking about those teams. But it would be nice if our team was allowed to play in general.
I knew there was a MLS conspiracy. They delayed the Galaxy's season by 6 weeks to allow other teams to feel good about themselves.
Anyone keeping up with Vergara's soap opera in Mexico? He fired a coach who he hired a month ago due to improper sexual conduct against a female chivas staff member. Vergara was interviewed on television last night and said he spoke to the coach who admitted to it. The coach just had a press conference saying he has not spoken to Vergara and walked away from the press conference in tears.
I should add that the coach is Ricardo Lavolpe who coached Mexico in the mid 2000s. After the US beat Mexico he said that even his grandmother could beat the US. He had a huge rivalry with Vergara that lasted for years. When he took the job people were scratching their heads considering how much these two guys dislike each other. Worked out well didn't it?
Also seems like Lavolpe is airing out Chivas' dirty laundry. He apparently found out that the female staff (kinesiologist) was giving more than just massages and called her out on it.
Wow, some early reports saying Diaz is out for the season. Having watched Dallas this season that's a huge blow. He's been phenomenal this season and the player I've been most envious of.
