When MLS reinstitutes their reserve league they should widen their footprint and put the reserve teams in different markets or take over the D2 League. Any thoughts on the possibilities of this?

That's one of the rumors/theories out there.

DivII is trying to solidify the teams for the long haul instead of an 80% turnover rate. Setting the ownership standards the way they are really paves the way for an MLS2 to take over DivII.

I for one, would love to see it, providing the DivII teams that are taken over, can retain their own personalities.

Except that with roster sizes it makes no sense to put your reserve team in another city because many of the reserves at least ride the bench for the first team.
