You're correct. I was thinking 07 Super Bowl.

    I hate Peyton Manning.

I hate Payton Manning too, but the fact that Tony Dungy is a splitting image of a Keebler elf always bothered me more.

    Even after the injuries.

    7-4 Green Bay sounds good.

Lance Louis goes to IR. One of the only two good linemen we've had this year.

F*** Jared Allen with Carlos Ruiz.

Lovie has been released this morning. The man will still get paid for another year, but the Lovie Smith era is over.

I'd like to see Bill Cowher or Brian Billick get an offer to coach the Bears.

Bill Cowher would be a good choice IMHO.

To bad, that would mean the team spending "Keane money" on a coach (Bears are just as cheap as Andy). That's not going to happen, you guys will be stuck with a def/off coordinator of another team....

    Happy New Year to all......

Or Cowher. All this hippy love and friendship bulls**t in locker room needs to end.

Wanting Lovie replaced with Cowher is for people who put style over substance.

This is where I point out as a man who spent my first 2 decades growing up in Pittsburgh, both Bill Cowher and Mike Ditka are from the Pittsburgh area so they have that essential grit required but the problem with da Bears is will they ever give ANYBODY the time and patience required to succeed? Too many people scream for blood instead of staying the course after a couple of bad seasons. Look at Cowher's record with the Steelers in 1998 (7-9) 1999 (6-10) and 2000 (9-7) and again in 2003 (6-10) in between all those AFC central wins, Championships and a couple of Superbowl visits. The Rooney family has a patience and stability the Bears ownership will just never have. Lovie Smith wasn't that bad and even Ditka thinks his firing was stupid. Ditka speaks: http://www.usatoday.com/story/gameon/2013/01/01/mike-ditka-bears-lovie-smith-fired/1802589/

I know Ditka thought it was stupid. But you speak of giving someone time? 8 years. Eight. Ocho. Osiem. The Bears needed a change at the top if only for the sake of a breath of fresh air.
