And I expect to finish there or above. Like i said, we are not that shit and we can only improve. I can't see our team regress any more than they already have done in parts this season.
I said play La Liga in a professional manner. Do the job in hand but the motivation to close the gap has gone. When the CdR or UCL comes around, we can expect our best players to be rested for those games.
I totally get that, but the "when the CdR and UCL come around" is now... in the middle of everything. I'm just no comfortable with our current spot in the table because of how inconsistent we've been. Here is our schedule (Liga dates are not final): 1/15 Valencia for CdR 1/20 @ Valencia for La Liga 1/23 @ Valencia for CdR 1/27 Getafe for La Liga 1/30 Barcelona/Malaga if we make it in the CdR 2/3 @ Granada for La Liga 2/10 Sevilla for La Liga 2/13 Man U for UCL 2/17 Rayo for La Liga 2/24 @ Deportivo for La Liga 2/27 @ Barcelona/Malaga if we make it in the CdR 3/2 Barcelona for La Liga 3/5 @ Man U for UCL 3/10 @ Celta for la Liga It's not like we can 'take a break' from La Liga during this stretch (I know you aren't saying that). This is a crucial run for us on all fronts.
