So rooting against the country of your citizenship is somehow more patriotic than my shallow patriotism? Got it.

And just who would Jesus' people be? He's from California, married to an Anglo. Served his country in the US Army and is a proud American.

There are in fact many many Americans who care about the flag, patriotism, and the pledge of allegiance. It is what makes this country stand out amongst all others, and I'm proud to be one of those who cares. I was born and grew up in England and came here at the age of 18, just in time to get drafted and afforded a government paid vacation to SE Asia. When I got back, this grateful country afforded me the opportunity to purchase a home, get edumacated, and receive preferential treatment in government hiring. 56,000 of those who went over, came home in body bags, they never had the opportunities that I had, never got to grow old, have children, or have the opportunity to give a rats ass. But many of them went willingly for love of country.

I admit it, I'm white (actually I tend toward red under the sun). I don't believe that Cosmo is a racist, he just happens to say things that tend to pi$$ people off. And neither is Jesus a flag burner, he was born in the USA and served his country honorably in the US Army.

As I mentioned previously in this response, everything that I have, everything that I am, is because this country afforded me the opportunity. I resent anyone who, having been given the benefits that this country offers, denigrates it and turns their back on it.

I quite enjoy FOX news, and it's the news channel of choice in my house. I must admit that I prefer O'Reilly to Maddow, Juan Williams to Rev Al, and Shep Smith to the guy with the tingly leg.

By the way - Jesus is a Republican.

    Hold up, we are Texans.
We get our Mexican and Texican heritage.
That's what delivers to us when talking football, the connection from immigrant nations to celebrate our land, our city our football.
You back the local team and the national team.
Ortiz rides the fence in his coverage. Which is ok, I follow several National teams, so he can/should indeed follow both but give shine to Texas and the home teams.
Anything less and expect the recoil.

in a cruel twist of irony, due to Westside's Christian denomination, he wouldn't be allowed to join the klan. even they don't want him. :ROFLMAO:

I seperate patriotism totally when talking Intl Sawker.

US Cit here, Mexican fan. I may as well be one of those US Soldiers on the Tele rooting for Mexican NT.

Futbol is one thing that lacks in the US, so we have to look elsewhere.
Thats why if you ask a kid who plays soccer in the US if he knows who Barcelona is adn they say, no, you know they suck.

let me explain it to you like we in elementary school.

When a young socer player is practicing he goes home and turns on espn to watch the sport of his passion! But bowling is on so he changes it to ESPN Deportes and listens to spanish coverage of the latest champions league news, or futbol picante which just happens to be on. Ok, so maybe the pocho will turn on FSC, anythings possible right?

Point is he loves the sport, enjoys playing, will play pickup games, has a ball on his feet in the kitchen while his mom yells at him for playing inside. He enjoys practice and figures out ways to improve his game.

On the other hand you have a guy who is playing Halo, while his mom yells, Time for Soccer practice, get in the Van. He grumbles under his breath as he puts his shingards in his bag, then he tells his mom that they have to go to chuck e cheese this week if he does good in the Soccer game.
