I've been convinced about how awesome he is for us. I hope he stays the rest of his career.

It would be nice to see him do well in the EURO to compensate for the Champions League Semis, but everyone knows how hard he worked and prepared himself. It has been a great season watching Ronaldo go against Messi. Yes, it is Barcelona V Madrid, 11 against 11, but even they (the players in question) have to feel the media hype between every meeting they come across, it's truly a bizarre thing to live through. I mean, yes I've seen 60's games and they are great to see, but this kind of athletic battle on a parallel scale is so unique.

As for EURO 2008 chances. I strongly think we are motivated to win against one of Germany or Holland, we know our tournament rests on getting a result from one of those games. Nani is in good form, and I think had he been at World Cup 2010 (he was on great form towards the late end of that season as well, and did get in our warm-up matches), that we might have been able to go further. Having said all that, we have 3 starters on our team who play for Madrid, and I know for all of them it will fire them up to finish this season on a great note. Ronaldo, especially, knows he deserves an international title, and if he got it he'll have even less haters. I look forward to it.

I don't think we have any chance to win the EURO 2008. :D

Cristiano was simply the best this year... No one can argue that. He's won important games for us on his own. Not to mention his stats and how many records he has broken!

He's the complete player and a joy to watch.

He should be able to win the Pichichi/Golden Boot for a 2nd year in a row and make it a record beating one once again. Plus, this Liga is ours to win and he has scored in the last 3 clasicos when Messi hasnt (correct me if I'm wrong).

Record Golden Boot + La liga title + Highest scoring Real madrid team in history + Possible Euro 2012 winner has to give him the WPOTY award.

    Congratulations my boy!!!

Portugal is still amongst the top 10 teams in the world.

Let`s put it this way... Greece was expected to get destroyed and be sent home humiliated in Euro 2004 and they won the whole tournament.

Portugal is on another level, let's be real here. So yes, it could be possible even though it's going to be very difficult in the Group of Death.

I am very concerned about Ronaldo record of most league goals scored in a season.... because this record was not only about Ronaldo. It was a record held by Hugo Sanhez for over 20 years. If Messi overtakes him, we are actually surrendering a 20 year old record.

I must say that Ronaldo's development this season and his understanding and acceptance of the expectations of Madridistas make this league title all the more special. No one embodied the heart of a champion after adversity better than him this season. So that being said congratulations and more importantly thank you Cristiano Ronaldo for a job well done this season, you done well son, you done well

Cristiano Ronaldo scores more goals at Real Madrid but was a better player at Manchester United, claims Charlton

No doubt he's had a spectacular season, but how does he have a better season than Messi when you compare the stats (goals & assists)??? And like CR7, Messi won so many games for Barca on his own. You can see how lost they are offensively if Messi isn't creating anything.
If Madrid had won the CL, i think CR7 would have won the WPOY regardless of stats. Now he has only the euros, and in all honnesty, i don't fancy Portugal's chances of getting out of that group :D

Actually, if you count in international matches, Ronnie has scored 69 goals in 62 games. Messi; 70 goals in 63 games.

The reason is obviously that Messi failed - once again - for Argentina in the Copa America(0 goals in 5 games), while Ronaldo scored 5 goals in 6 games and helped Portugal qualify for the Euros.

But I think it's gotten to the point where everyone knows Messi sucks without Barcelona, and so, those matches don't really matter anymore.

Well, that's an awfully nice consolation, and if that makes you happy, yay. But here's a suggestion, post it at your own forum where someone actually cares, because in here.
