OK, so with all the kerfuffle over away US qualifiers being on obscure and/or PPV cable channels, those of us without access to those channels have limited options. Maybe go to a soccer bar, or find someone with access. But I'd like to know if there's a legit site on which I can just pay to stream the damn game rather than having to go out to find it someplace else. Guess I'm just that lazy. I know this is a controversial topic, so I'd like to bracket the whole media rights/piracy debate and appeal to fellow BSers for answers to two questions: 1. Is there going to be a way to see this game, a la Guatemala, in paid online streaming format? 2. If not, any suggestions for free live streams, such as the one Univision provided of the US at Mex game last month? Thanks mucho in advance for any help w this. From what I gather BeIN doesn't have online streams yet so the quick answer is no to all your points. I might be wrong on this but that is the impression I was under. Now there are always online "streams" that are easily available. On game day I am sure some people will point you in the right direction if you so desire.

Yeah, nothing I saw on BeIN's site seemed to suggest they did online stuff--all cable based feeds to TV broadcasters. That doesn't rule out there being other entities with rights to stream the game online in theory but in practice, that doesn't appear to be the case. Random online streams it is!
Yeah BeIN seems very intent to own the rights to the US away matches. The amount of content they have bought is forcing the hand of the providers in the US which I think is a good thing. No doubt Al Jazeer spent A LOT of money for the rights to all of the leagues and is most likely losing quite a bit of money up front. But they have tons and tons of it so the long game they are playing will pay off.

Absolutely. I prefer it as the #1 medium for streaming HQ matches in HD, but it does come down to who exactly is streaming the match. For most La Liga, and EPL matches, I use Sopcast at work. The best links I know of are at http://www.wiziwig.tv/index.php?part=sports and livefootballol.com I just wanted to see if there were any sound US links in here.
