    OM 3-1 Metz : Reactions
Read the main actors’ reactions after the OM’s victory against Metz this Saturday.

Jean Fernandez : «This victory is good for us. It was hard to come into the match and Metz showed more determination first. It began to be complicated when they scored the first goal but we managed to keep our position with enough concentration and organisation. As often in football solution came from a place kick. We were more determinate in second period, so we logically won. It’s difficult to play high levelled matches when one plays every three days. We must win, which we achieved, mission succeeded. This is good for moral».

Mamadou Niang : «We should react after our performance at Toulouse against an always tricky Metz’s team. My goal above all calmed down the team because it allowed us to breathe: we had two goals more so we had less pressure. From a personal point of view, I’m happy because I haven’t scored since a long time. We especially managed to find each others in second period because Metz was disturbed after our second goal. We try to built a game but teams like Toulouse or Metz often wait for us in their 18 metres. When they go out a little bit, it’s easier for us. There will be a lot of difficult matches like this one throughout season.»

Franck Ribéry : «We stay on three victories on four championship’s matches but the defeat at Toulouse nerved us. We won tonight and moreover we succeeded to score three times. I give all that I have and I feel good in Marseille’s club with all supporters. Sabri (Lamouchi) told me to economize my efforts a little bit but I can’t do it, I have to touch a lot of balls and to provoke. There will certainly have bad times but for the moment I enjoy a lot. When the audience screams my name and pushes us, it gives us motivation».

Koke : «I wasn’t be playing for a long time, I’m happy. After the second period we came back with the envy to win. Mamadou (Niang) was unhappy, he achieved to score and we are all very happy. The coach gave me the ability to play today, I hope he will continue for other matches. I want to fight for playing but I keep quiet and I keep on working».

Joël Muller (FC Metz’s coach) : «nowadays we aren’t able to play two good halftimes. In these conditions it’s difficult to have a result. We came in with ambitions but unfortunately during second period a simple technical change torn us apart. It shows our limits. Speed and players like Oruma or Ribery’s individual qualities made the difference. We lacked maturity, we have a good state of mind but we don’t always do the good choices at the good time.».

Its not allowed, it gives the score away to people who may be taping the game or watching it on delay.

Stupid, I know - but them's the rules...

If OM didn't take 3 points from Metz, that would have been Fernandez' head.....

How lucky is OM right now that the Turks weren't paying him! What a steal he has been. Great guy too. He's the kind of person you want to go to war with.
