I think Marwan Hussein deserves a call up. He showed us that he has potential. If it wasn't for him, we would never be in the semi finals.
Great to see that the tournament is really being followed in Iraq and that our people back home have something to cheer for. Hakeem Shaker and another final
http://www.the-afc.com/en/tournamen...7544-technique-key-for-asian-footballers.html So a lot of scouts are watching.. good
Humam Tariq refused to join the olympic team due to his injury. The poor guy's career is possibly over before it even started. And all this due to the incompetence of the people who run Iraqi football. http://www.iraqfpg.com/Docs.ArabicViewer/ed57efb8-cdc1-4673-9c0d-e87ea85332a7/Default.aspx
And he still called him up for the U-22 championship even though he knows very well that Humam is been injured for a long time now and that his injury got worse because of the games he played under his supervision. I really feel for him.
Mabrook to the Iraqi people. Mohanned deserved the goal, he worked very hard this tournament. It seems that our problems with Khaleeji referees is never ending. Jalal Hassan man of the match. Great game by him.
Mabrook!! Finally we won a title since 2007 I hope Mohannad broke his jinx and scores more goals. Because his finishing was superb today.
This is what i was afraid of. The other side of the coin after winning the Asian cup U-22. Henchmen of the IFA directly seizing the opportunity to attack others and claim that opponents of the IFA are trying to destroy Iraqi football. Quote of the day: 'If someone doesn't speak 100% Arabic then they are not Iraqi'. So i am not Iraqi according to these people because i spent the majority of my life abroad and my Arabic is not perfect. The elections for the FA now planned on 20/4.
racism, bigotry, cheating, decieving, turning into "loogiya", talking nonsense about gheera and patriotism, calling people who speak out traitors. It's typical Iraqi behaviour for you.
There was a banner on afc.com that the qualifiers start in July 15 . Qatar also annonucing that they will host qualifier in from July 15 http://www.qulture.com/calendar/afc-u22-championship-qualifiers
Away friendly against Indonesia U23 on June 22 ? http://www.bolaindo.com/2014/06/15/berikut-jadwal-uji-coba-timnas-senior-dan-u-23/
It's pathetic that we are participating with the likes of Younis and Salam shaker instead of giving the young players a chance. Hakeem Shaker doesn't care about the future of Iraqi football; he participates with the NT in every useless tournament and celebrates victories on nations which are participating with young prospects. I'll wait and watch the real NT games.
Younis is going to be our main striker in the Asia Cup so he needs to start in this tournament. We have players like Bashar Rasan, Marwan Hussein and Farhan Shakor that we can test out so I don't have any problems with the team selection. I'm missing Ali Husni though
I don't think you are ok with it, you just accepted the fact that we are going to hold on to players like Younis no matter what so you want them to play now (because, for example, Younis has played a total of 3 games in the last year). We have one team that is representing us in every occasion. I find that sad and unworthy of Iraqi football. Look at the other teams in Asia, they have capable replacements for the starters. We panic when our 35 year old striker gets injured! The argument that we have to use this team because of the Asian cup is very strange. You have fifa days and friendlies to prepare for continental tournaments. The youth tournaments must be used to give the youngsters a chance. We know what Humam, Saif, Mehdi Kamil etc are capable of. They are blocking the progress of other young players because they have their place reserved in every NT. I don't feel like watching the games anymore because i want to see the NT of Iraq play and not the NT of Hakeem Shaker.
