Hate to admit it considering how shit Chicharo's game has been lately....but Oribe has been missing plays that foo would bury in a heartbeat.

sucks is that our Mexican League goalscorer and European goalscorer are both STILL going through the post injury funk.

anyone who watched the pre-Olympic friendly against Japan tell me how that game was. that way those of us who missed it know what to expect.

from what i've seen from Japan in the tournament, they are a well organized and fast team. not the type of game i'd want to see Salcido in, but we have no choice. hopefully he'll remove his head from his ass this time and actually do well.

Or would be best if he pretended to get sick or something for the good of the team since Tena's afraid to take him out of the lineup.

I thought Mexico was very lucky that the game against Senegal was a 15 round fight instead of a 12 rounder. The Mexicans had the better fitness and Tena actually used his subs wisely. The Senegalese are pure sprinters. I mean these guys were beasts, but the length of the game hurt them. Against Japan we don' t have to worry about gettting out muscled, just out hustled. The Japanese have been very disciplined but they have benefited from ref decisions that allowed them to play man up against both Spain and Egypt for the majority of both matches. The key will be to play as mistake free as possible and a close a couple of the many opportunities they should get. Don't expect any big mistakes from Japan. Going to be a fast paced game with multiple goals. Corona was worth his weight in gold, Salcido has been dead weight in the midfield (would be better as a defensive sub) and Orible is slowly working his way back. I like our chances a lot.

A fairly even game with a bunch of chances Mexico should have put away but didn't. Mexico lost 2-1 due to a golazo with about 10 minutes to go.

First time seeing the HL, damn Herrera gave that ball up in the 1st minute? Talk about a bad start.
The Fabian goal was exactly the type of goals he was scoring before the Olympics, to bad we might not see them anymore in the tourney now that he is play on the left side, but he almost got one against Senegal. Last Japan goal was great.

We had a bunch of those trademark choke in front of goal moments in this match. I think this was the game where Jimenez had that really nice play where he almost scored, but the ball too softly.

Sucks but at least he'll play in the gold medal match if we make it and the bronze one if we lose of course.

If they clear it after the group stages then that leaves the possibility of players missing the Final. And who wants to see a final with a bunch of players suspended?
