Who will disappoint? Fabian or Gio? We can count it towards your predictions tally.

Never said they would disappoint, I just don't think his comment of Gio being the best Mexican player on any national team is correct. There are a bunch of better Mexican players that I can name that did more for our team and had more heart as well.

Well to be fair that's not what he said. He said Gio will have the greatest performance (meaning in a single game) that any player has had with the national team ever. That is a huge statement, but he never said Gio is the best player to have ever played in the Mexican national team.

Fine, same thing applies. I'm sure nothing will ever live up to moments like Luis Hernandez' late game goal.

Exactly. that is what I said. I just have a feeling Gio is going to have a game to remember. Every game he gets better and better. If thus guy ever gets a year or two of full time football, he will be one of the best in the world.

Gio is 23 and has had many notable moments with El Tri. Luis Hernandez, not to knock him did that at 28-29? Gio has at least two maybe three World Cups in him.

But that's a moment. I'm talking about the whole game. For example, IMO the greatest performance i have ever seen from a Mexican player was Nery vs Brazil. That night Nery single handedly raped and plundered Brazil.

True. I didn't want to be biased though, but I hardly think anything will top that at the U-23 level. Sure, it's going to be amazing when we win gold, but we'll have to do it at the senior level in order for us to get any credit. I do think Gio will put in a memorable performance, along with Peralta and Marco Fabian.

Bullshit... well it was my goal of the year. :x3:

Man what I'd give for him to do that again on Saturday, and make it the winning goal.

Sons is this true? read it on reddit.

I heard Mexico has never lost in a final vs Brazil. 4 wins and 1 draw. I know we beat them in the gold cup final twice and then in the confed final and again in the u17 world cup final.

I know we beat them 4 times in finals. i just wasn't sure if it's true that we have never lost vs them in a final. Awesome though. Hopefully we can keep that record going on saturday!

I was having major vibes that we would go down to japan but still win. Im starting to have this feeling that we are going to bode well on saturday. Maybe its because of IMperfect...but I keep thinking of brazils lack of quality in their competition to the final. That portero looks so vulnerable to a real sound attack. I think we got this (insert Salcido thumbs up).

    oh wow...

hope that streak continues. in the past 10+ years the only team to give Brazil any sort of trouble has been Mexico. in fact, i think we have the best record against them in the past decade. gotta keep that going.

Fack off. Busquets, Alves, and Villa are habitual divers. Neymar does deserve some of the hate he gets, but he is a world class talent and I hope Real gets him. We will be pwning some fagcelona ass for years to come.
