I feel your pain, has happened to me before. My advice is don't trade with anyone who isn't a well known member of the forum. Even then, make sure they have references with other members who have bought/sold to them. Also, the person who ripped me off made 3 or 4 fake accounts and used those as 'references' of people he had done business with previously. You can never be too careful... You should post up the address where you posted your boots, also any email addresses, names etc. associated with oldtraff1818. Often the people who do these things are quite young and think they can get away with it.

i think a good way to trade is to send each other a fair amount to cover the cost of the boots if they are lost, so you are covered. although with maze i just did a straight swap
Sorry for your loss. Im sure things like these happens to all of us at some point, one will just have to see it as a lesson. If he decides to scam again, he will prob do it under a different name, so post his mail address, paypal etc.
Post the address you sent the boots to and there's a solid chance one of the members here lives close enough to go kick his ass and steal them back haha.

It most likely exists. Looks like a college campus address and my freshman dorm room mailing address didn't show up as a true address online either.
That's a shame. Another name he goes by (at least this member is in Forest City also): Cityihad1054 He is a Newbie, and wanted me to swap two pair to his one. He backed down when I asked if he would send his first, or make purchases for X amount through ebay.
