Not bad, that. I think Coates must come in to give Agger a rest but, as you said, there is a mystery over his future.

Good line up but I don't think Borini is ready to start just yet. Either Downing(keep him on his toes or he'll get complacent again) or Suso with Borini coming on at half time. I'm quite excited to see Jonjo feed Sturridge again.

I say leave Allen out on the basis that you'd want to keep him fresh as you can for arsenal. For me he would handle cazorla better than lucas would on the basis he is a lot more mobile and lighter on his feet than lucas. Or alternatively give hendo and allen a half each on the basis to keep them fresh once again because they are quite mobile and will be able to handle arsenals midfield better in my opinion.

Why Allen over Henderson, when Henderson had a great game today, and has been playing great for quite a while now? Lucas is so much better defensively than Allen, that's not even up for debate.

Allen plays on Sunday because Lucas, Gerrard and Henderson will play against L'Arse. Full stop

I think you've missed the point, I said we should keep allen and henderson fresh for the arsenal game, i want to see henderson start. I think our biggest problem will be containing cazorla, i just don't think that lucas, is mobile enough and still isn't quite up to pace after his injury to handle him. And you can't say allen is weak defensively, in his slump that has been one part he has been good at, especially interceptions. Won possession the most times of anyone in the league. Lucas is better defensively, but i don't think he is quite as nippy or quick as allen and for me, allen would contain him better, just my thoughts though.

Don't necessarily agree with that, but I think Lucas kills counterattacks a hell of a lot better than Allen and that's one area Carzola excels in. Regardless of who plays Carzola will make me nervous though.

    Jones
    Wisdom Carragher Coates Robinson
    Allen Henderson
    Shelvey
    Suso Borini Sterling

Gulacsi, Skrtel, Johnson, Coady, Downing, Sturridge, Suarez

If Coates is gone then put Skrtel in his place and put Agger on the bench. Otherwise, keep Agger, Lucas, and Gerrard out entirely if possible.

Any word on Enrique? Imagine if he were fit yesterday. Yikes.

Not sure what I'd prefer to see here. Field the players who are out-of-form and/or working their way back to fitness OR strike while the iron is hot and play our "form" eleven?

    In.

It will be interesting to see who plays in this one. I think SG will be on the bench for a "just in case we're down" scenario. Carra should get another start, he was rock steady against the Canaries. I'd also like to see Coates in there. Sturridge is still building his fitness so he needs to play. Good game for Allen to rediscover his form in. MAybe some of the youngsters will be on the bench too, I'd personally like to see more of Pacheco. Buck doesn't seem to rate him though.

Whoever plays, I expect a convincing win while also realizing that these cup ties are tough. Real tough sometimes.

They're watering the pitch as we speak. Then they'll let the cows out on it.

    Pasted straight from the Beeb:

Oldham's chances of their televised FA Cup fourth round clash with Liverpool going ahead on Sunday have been boosted after they took delivery of an inflatable pitch cover.
Boundary Park was covered by several inches of snow over the weekend and temperatures have been predicted to be sub-zero all week.
But the Football Association have provided a 'bubble' which will cover the playing surface and be filled with hot air to ensure the pitch is protected from the extremes of the weather.

    Exclamation point.

Middle 3 will probably be Allen Henderson and Shelvey. Lucas and Gerrard to come on to close it out.

I'd start Borini and Sturridge up front.

The show must go on. I wonder if they have to return the "bubble" to the FA.

Start the "A" team until the half!!!
Then when the pitch is cut up, bring on the stoppers.
Why try and rescue a game in the mud in the last 10 minutes.
