I heard the reported fee was 9mil (pounds?). Let's hope they put the money to good use. I'm ok with seeing Kolo step up to first team duties, and he starts to look overwhelmed when can always put Kim in there. He doesn't look like he'll be moving this summer.

Its even worse at PSG. They lost to a small team from Switzerland and the lineup they put out was dreadful.

Could have sold Lloris for big money and got Ruffier whos still a top 5 French goalie. Just a thought.

The only reason Lyon were a top 3 TEAM last season was because of our #1 goalie.

aly for about 10 mill euros ? get outta here....

the part that worries me the most is the no new signing, there is time but every day a new signing gets to gel is valuable time
not to mention the positions that need the reinforcement are pivotal

But why does that article say that we are in desperate need of funds? Aren't we in generally good financial standing? Or is this to free up some transfer money for something big?

OL ran an unexpected deficit last year, but the financial base of the group remains solid. the cost reduction efforts we're seeing now come from the relative failure of the last couple of freespending seasons. this look like a rebuilding year and it's just as well to do that with younger cheaper players for both financial and motivational reasons. the money saved is going into the stadium.

Received an email saying squad will be presented on July 21, 2011 at Stade de Gerland with Martin Solveig performing. Free to all Lyon fans (wish I could go).

Im skeptical of anything he says because he was premoted from the youth team and Im skeptical he's a puppet manager.

Did anyone watch the friendly against Genk? Just did last night. Didn't like much of what I saw.

i saw the score, and i didnt like that at all.

hopefully its that familiar pre-season lack of fitness type stuff, and not a bad omen for the rest of the season.

Yea that's why I don't go as far as criticizing the players. It's still preseason, looks like man of the players were only in 2nd gear at the most. I don't like the formation we started the match off with. No creativity in the middle of the park.
