Dunno where Grosso thinks he's going to get a gig, not many clubs are going to want a marquee leftback or have cap space to play with.

This is a mixed bit of news:

Not at all sad to see Bridge go, but Dimi is a loss even if Chianese and Mallia took his spot in the 2nd half of the season.

Highly Successful Promising Long Term A-League Venture Western Sydney FC only offering one-term contracts:

Also their team is all SFC and Newy rejects.

This whole thing really stinks of being a flashier version of North Queensland Fury.

It's really discerning, considering how much they continue to talk up these ideas only to shoot themselves in the foot with every step.

Why can't the FFA just look to find an existing club that already/is willing to meet criteria outlined by the association, and provide them with an A-League licence? They haven't even given themselves enough funding, in any reality, to sustain a club for a full season. (Unless they expect handouts left, right and centre, including their stadium deal.) It's ridiculous beyond the point of laughter. It just feels so... hollow.

The whole community involvement thing had so much promise. It's all going to crud. And I hate to admit that point.

Odd story: no source for the "offer too good to refuse" bit

They could probably get Chipperfield under the cap, but they'd have to give up the no-marq policy for LuCa$h

Wasn't the talk that Chippers wouldn't want to be a big-money marquee if he played in the A-League?

Got to respect that about the man, if it's true. I'd love to think the same can be said about Lucas as he was originally linked to being part of the Rovers bid, but given his history...

He's said so, but I think being 37 probably has a bit to do with it as well.

Perhaps already having several buckets of money laying around his house(s) would help, as well.

I imagine the cost of living's not quite so high down here as in Switzerland.

Nice. A URL has been scooped up indicating "West Sydney", but everybody's been using "Western Sydney" for the location part of the name. Nitpicky, maybe, but let's settle this!

    1. why is Fairfax paying Cockerill to try and gin up work for his mates?

    2. who's going to take the risk with Culina?

    3. is it just me or does bringing Bulut back to the Western suburbs not sound like the greatest idea?
