I missed LeToux's goal because I turned off the game once KC went up 3-0. But his performance was indicative of his strengths and weaknesses. If a team wants to play counterattack, or possess the ball tightly around midfield, the Seba's your man. But if the team wants to build an attack or spread possession around the field, the Seba's speed is of little value and he is largely ineffective.

Le Toux's was a poacher's goal. Right place at the right time.

He's really lighting up the league with 3 goals.

I think we should all be able to agree that neither the Union nor Le Toux are lighting up the league.

I'm confused, maybe I missed the sarcasm, but Le Toux is currently on pace for 17 goals.

Seriously doubt he'll come anywhere close to 17 goals this year. Especially when the rest of Vancouver's offense wakes up. I see him scoring 8 tops.

He is fitting in well here in Charleston, playing right mid. He should have had another goal but scuffed his shot in the match vs. charlotte.

you can watch USL matches for free at www.uslnation.com. The Battery will be taking on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds Friday night at 7:30

Richter has been great with the Battery.

Also, Noone, Langley, Tom Brandt and the rest of the City Islanders have their home opener this Friday.

maybe the two loaned players will still be there for that game. I'm guessing they will since the union is away this week.

    City Islanders home opener...
Langley played 76 minutes. Noone played 73 minutes. Antoine Hoppenot played 90 and netted a goal for HCI. Tom Brandt dressed but did not play.

Noone warming up. You can also see Langley and Brandt in the video

More warm ups. You can see Langley, Noone and Hoppenot

I know he isn't alumni but fyi... shot on goal by Hoppenot

Lastly, kinda cool. The full roster on the field for the national anthem at the home opener. It included Noone, Langley, Hoppenot, Brandt, and even Marshall, Basso, and Welker who have played for the Union's reserve squad.

That guy sucks. Doesn't fit into our system, with his shots on goal and work rate. Who does he think he is? Messi?

His goals were nicely taken, too. The first was a near post header off a set piece. I never understood why Peter had LeToux taking our corners/set pieces, when I felt he'd be better up front receiving them.

Second goal was off a sweet first touch. Delivery served over the top to LeToux who brought it down and around the defender leaving him the open shot.

Eh the shot was kinda weak and a more adept keeper would have saved it, but your points remain valid good sir.

LeToux had an assist and nearly had a goal tonight. Harvey had a superb cross into the box at the end of the game. Out of NE's four goals, only one originated in a cross from Harvey's side.
