I´ve already been to Sanchez-Pizjuan. I live all of about two blocks from it and I went to the UEFA Cup match with Nacional de Madeiras. ´Twas fun.

    HI Sevillista,
I just have a question about Jesus Navas. I have heard many things about him but I was wondering what people in Sevilla think about his play. Does he play like Reyes (style-wise)? How would you rate him?

Here, people name him "The New Reyes". He is shorter than Reyes and he plays on the right side. He can also play as second forward.

Arsenal talent scouts have seen him several times. But he will continue playing here, I´m sorry ;)

His only problem is his high. If he becomes stromger he will be a fantastic player. He plays similar to Reyes.

How can you support a dictatorship team? Lopera (your owner) is the worst president that club has had in the history. However, you have to be quiet because without him that club could disappear.

Youu don´t have a stadium, you have a half stadium. Your millonaire players are not enough good to win a match. :p

When was the last time that Betis won a match to Seville? I can´t remember.

Your team is so bad that you have to post in this thread because you can´t write anything good in your club´s thread. :(

    Next year Betis-Leganés.

I do believe Sánchez-Pizjuán has the smallest seats I´ve ever been in. However, as Sevilla won that game (against Nacional de Madeiras), I´m still happy. I just wish I was going to the game tonight. As for Betis, just look at the standings.

The Sánchez-Pizjuán remodelation will be in year 2006. They will play that year in La Cartuja Stadium.

Sevilla wins their UEFA Cup round with a 4-1 aggregate and move on to the 40 team group stage.

    Congrats to Sevilla fans.

    Renato was a great signing.

Could someone tell me more about the growing talents at Sevilla? I've watched Navas and Ramos in one singel match, against Real Sociedad. You're team won 3-1 i think. Sergio Ramos scored one and had one lucky assist. Navas seemed to be lively with a great shot which touched the bar. For me, Jesus look to be a bit lightweight, even smaller and weaker than Reyes was at his age.
Do know anything about Ramos' and Navas' family, relatives who was any particular good players? How did they do in the youth team at both club and national level?
Are there any other promising talents at the club? If so, who?
Watched Antonito-or-something too...seemed to be at a very high technical level.

Off-topic - who are the brightest talents in Spain, 20 years and younger.....apart from Navas and Ramos off-course! :) ;)

...and thank you 4 giving us Jose Antonio Reyes for a fair price. He is growing fast at Arsenal - no doubt a future superstar......erhm, he IS a superstar. :D

Hey sevillista, i have a question for you,

what do you think of gerardo torrado, he's a great player but why doesn't Caparros put him in the line up, have u seen him play during last season or two seasons ago?

It´s true, he´s a great player. Two years ago Reyes and Torrado were the best players of the team.

Sevilla wanted to have new terms of his contract but he refused it. He was a great player and he could go if a club paid no much money. After he had problems with the trainer (nobody knows what happen). Conclusion he is not playing.

What´s more, it´s said that he will play next season in Betis

Do you think he'll get some playing time this year?
I just don't understand why he doesn't play when i've read in many places that he is considered one of the best defensive midfielders in La Liga, it's sad to see a fellow Mexican who's worked so hard to be where he's at and he doesn't get any playing time.

Well now, doesn´t this kick ass? A 2-1 win at Valencia and Sevilla is now tied on points for second (but in third on GD). Pretty bad ass, I must say.

Anyone want to start a pool on when Pichi and the other mis-guided Beticos turn on Serra Ferrer? :p I say around 1 February.

As much as it pains me to say it as a Malaguista, Sevilla certainly looks strong this year. A 1-2 result at Valencia is a sign that Sevilla is for real. I expect they will be fighting for a Champions League spot and should also go far in the UEFA Cup. I just hope Malaga keeps some of their Andalucian bragging rights in the head to head games. ;)

And now Sevilla is all alone in second. A late, fairly meaningless goal by Atletico Madrid was the only thing spoiling a marvelous performance on a day when everyone close to Sevilla lost, putting them 3 points in the clear for second place. Next task, chasing down Barça, which won´t be easy the way they´re playing. I like Sevilla´s style. They work hard, follow up on all the details, don´t give away anything, and take their chances. It isn´t as pretty as Barça and Ronaldinho´s moves, but it´s certainly been effective.

Big win by Sevilla in the UEFA Cup after a rough road game in the league. Four more points should move Sevilla to the knockout rounds of the UEFA Cup. Now, the get back on track in the league.
