Yeah Luis Fabiano is kickin ass! he's already scored 17 goals in all competitions this season. I just hope in the next phase we get an easy ride.
I badly want to avoid Liverpool, it would take the p*ss if we got them!!! I just hope Real Madrid face them!! ANyways we look good however Sevilla has to replicate the Champions league form into the la liga, starting with Valladolid.

Fabiano has been great, this season! I got to go to the match against Murcia and saw him put 2 in the back of the net! It's too bad he didn't take the penalty!

And, Riko, you would appreciate that I got to see two Arsenal games, also.

As nice as the new Emirates Stadium is, the atmosphere at the Pizjuan was incredible. If anyone's not been, go if you get the chance. It's really something special.

kewl that u were able to watch Sevilla, I managed to go to the Sevilla-Bilbao match earlier this year and Im sure you were not dissapointed.
I havent had the chance to go to the Emirates, I know that sounds mad to you but I will when the time is right. I managed to go watch Arsenal twice in the last season they were at Highbury, man nostalgia coming back to me now!!

Anyways Sevilla-Racing tonight and it's on Sky (Yay!). Come on Sevilla!!!!

it is bad to see Sevilla Fc's forum take place in a forum like that..yes, this is official but it is just a topic. there should be a big web site includes hundreds of topics for Sevilla. As a Fenerbahce fan I am expecting a big community. So lets give up Quarter Finals and let us match with a bigger community like Liverpool or Barca in the next round...

I saw his excellent strike against Arsenal, but was wondering if Seydou Keita is doing well at Sevilla? I have a friend who raves about him, but haven't read much supporting my friend's views :D

Keita is doing very well at Sevilla, his partnership with Poulsen in midfield is potent and clinical. Im sure all the Sevilla fans will be disappointed to see him go to the African nations cup alongside Kanoute in January. I only hope Mali get knocked out in the group stages, mind you it wouldnt suprise me if they went all the way to the final and face the Ivory Coast to make my life HELL!!!

Hey guys, a question - What position does Crespo play in defesne? I saw that Aston Villa was pondering making a move for him, and I wondered where he played. Thanks

Well with the emergence of Crespo, Hinkel is surplass to our needs and he is better off leaving.

One way traffic! Well that’s the way I saw last nights game. I don't recall Betis having one clear opportunity, and although Luis Fabiano handball the first Sevilla opener, it would have been irrelevant if the goal were disallowed because we still would have won the game. Overall I am satisfied with the performance. I’m still slightly weary of some of the players composure towards goal, and I think a little improvement is required, but not Luis Fabiano, he has been on fire all season and last night was no exception, not even Betis could put him out! :)

    Getafe 3-2 FC Sevilla

MADRID, January 19 (Primera Liga) - Getafe edged out Sevilla in a dramatic five-goal thriller in Madrid on Saturday night.

Luis Fabiano gave the visitors the lead after quarter of an hour, but Francisco Javier Casquero and Juan Luis Albin struck either side of half-time to give Getafe a lead which they kept until the last minute.

Igor Dragutinovic looked to have salvaged a point for Sevilla with a late leveller, only to see his team slip to a 10th league defeat of the season following Cosmin Contra's dramatic late winner in injury time.

Getafe looked to pressure immediately, but Sevilla should have taken the lead after three minutes, when Jesus Navas made a mess of his volley at the far post.

Following that opportunity, Sevilla began to enjoy more of the possession and did go ahead after 16 minutes.

League top-scorer Luis Fabiano - back from suspension after missing last week's defeat at Athletic Bilbao - reacted quickly to pounce on the loose ball and fire his side in front after Roberto Abbondanzieri had spilled Daniel Alves' shot.

It was the Brazilian's 13th league strike of the season.

Getafe sought to hit back straight away and almost did so on 19 minutes, but Esteban Granero's long-range effort grazed the outside of the post.

Michael Laudrup's side continued to attack and nearly levelled on the half-hour mark, but Alves was on hand to clear Ruben de la Red's header off the line.

The home side were getting closer and it was no surprise when they equalised in their next attack.

Casquero unleashed a blistering drive from the edge of the area which flew into the top corner, giving Sevilla goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis no chance after 32 minutes.

And they could have taken the lead two minutes later, but this time De Sanctis produced a stunning save to keep out Granero's powerful header.

The Italian goalkeeper was called upon again just after half-time, when he got down well to push away Casquero's driven left-footed effort.

Then, following several minutes of Sevilla pressure, Getafe squandered another good opportunity.

This time, Pablo Hernandez sent his effort wide from close range and the scores remained level.

The home side received a let-off of their own on 56 minutes, when Sevilla winger Diego Capel blasted over the bar from inside the area.

But two minutes later, Getafe took the lead when Albin climbed above Dragutinovic and crashed a header past the despairing De Sanctis.

The home side looked good for their lead, but allowed Sevilla to come back into the game in the latter stages.

Enzo Maresca fired just wide on 82 minutes and David Cortes had to produce an excellent last-ditch tackle to deny Alexander Kerzhakov as the visitors pushed for an equaliser they barely deserved.

And with time running out, they got it when Dragutinovic headed home from close range on 89 minutes.

Groans of discontent echoed around the stadium, but Getafe came back in epic fashion to steal the points in injury time, when substitute Contra headed a dramatic late winner to send the home fans into raptures.
