Sevilla wins Carranza Cup! 3-0 win over Cadiz: Adriano netted 1: Chevanton 2. Meanwhile Bilbao sinks Yellow Submarine

PS: Chevanton is doing extremely well in preseason! :)

One year gone and it still seems like yesterday he was just walking off the pitch.

    From Goal.com:

Real Racing Club - Sevilla CF

Last season's surprise package, Racing, will give Sevilla a tough test at the Sardinero. The verdiblancos have just been drawn against FC Honka Espoo of Finland in the UEFA Cup - a decent tie for them, and one that could see them through to the group stages.

Sevilla, for their part, got Salzburg in their clash - a game that coach Manolo Jiménez will deem eminently winnable.

Still, he'll first of all want to get off to a winning start here. The Nervión side lost three of their major stars over the course of the summer but nonetheless look the part thanks to some canny acquisitions.

Racing, meanwhile, didn't quite have the transfer window that they would have wanted, and with coach Marcelino having left for Zaragoza, Juan Ramón López Muñiz has some hard work on his hands.

My question to Manolo Jimenez is why the hell did you start Maresca inplace of Diego Capel on the wing? Seriously???

Cannot believe Sevilla pulled off a win with so many injuries this weekend. And taking out revenge on Almeria made it that much sweeter. Anyone else watch it? That almost goal around the 80 or 85th minute was PAINFUL. Can't believe he didn't try to pull the keeper out further before passing it. But we still got the win. :) I'm happy. And SECOND PLACE in La Liga...Keep Moving Up!!
