Pretty sure it's not only about MU, but a personal choice too (to make the pre season with them).

Other than that what can I say

    - goalkeeper will be Gonda so a backup which probably wont be used
    - yoshida is out for one month and a half he will barely be fit to play in that tournament so he wont
    - Tokunaga? Thats a reasonable call but why do I have a feeling FC Tokyo players are the only ones beeing called as new guys now days

didnt expect kagawa but I will tell who i would want to see on that list

    1. Hiroki Yamada
    2. Gaki Shibasaki
    3. Toshiyuki Takagi
    4. Yuji Ono
    5. Yoichiro Kakitani
    6. Mu Kanazaki

    if not for injuries
    - Naoki Yamada
    - Hidetaka Kanazono

with Red I have coloured those I would consider taking to the Olympics

I was about to say that it looks like Ono Yuji won't ever get to go to the Olympics, being of an in-between age. But his date of birth is 1992/12/22, so if the cut-off is just 4 years on from this year's Olympic cut-off, then he will squeeze in by a week for the 2016 games.

Especially in attack you need to add at least one more if not two. You cant just enter the tournament with only 1 striker.

Because there's an injury risk flying over Gonda and they want to make sure they'll have a competitive keeper for the Olympics. Frustrating as you said but if Gonda isn't really at his best, that makes sense.

Because Shimizu may need the GK! Makes sense, right?

@ Saku lol, come on. Ando was even ok at Toulon.

He was ok I agree. Just ok. But he never plays and these players are prone to choke jobs when it comes to big competitions. I wish Kawasaki was trusting him, even though Nishibe has been really solid this year there was no urge bringing a new keeper.

Sorry, but how often do GKs get injured?

You really think that risk of a goal keeper getting injured outweighs the risk that our defense will implode or we will have trouble scoring goals?

They are worried about Gonda because he's been frequently hit by injuries, more often minors than not, and they think there's a risk. They might have infos we don't have. If that's the case I can get behind the decision, that's not saying that I would have made the same choice. The OA players choice was massively underwhelming.

And a keeper choking can hurt you a lot.

    Screw goalkeeper chokes.

I'm more worried about the defense letting in 4 goals against Spain and Osako missing 5 goal scoring opportunities.

Seriously why no Sato or someone else who knows how to score?

Also because of this boneheaded move we have a keeper who just lost all confidence in his abilities because people don't believe he can do the job.

When Gonda was asked about Hayashi's inclusion he told reporters that he was disappointed and sad with the decision. Good job guys!

Tokunaga and Yoshida will start in the center of the defense with Suzuki making a decent back up so they tried to assess this weakness. About the goalscorer, ugh, yeah. I'm not sure anymore if the great Osako will be here tbh.

    Hopefully, no.

Anyway yeah I just read on Nikkan Gonda's words... man, I'm at loss for words.

Gonchan pulled off a couple of great saves in FCT's loss to Marinos on Saturday night, I've no worries with his form. I can understand the concerns about a back up keeper, but it's just stupid to select someone who could well be a starter in his own right.

lol, the situation with Hayashi is pretty laughable.
    1. The player himself seems like he doesn't want to be back-up keeper and go to London for a trip (not seeing any playing time) with a group of people who he doesn't know and it won't be too pleasant for him personally
    2. The club opposes as they will be without their first choice keeper for six (if I remember that well) games and they want to fight for the highest places this year in J League
    3. The U-23 team's captain already spoke his mind and openly criticized Hara&Sekizuka Co. for that decission. That's what his other team mates thinks probably also
    4. Now Hara says that maybe they won't take him to London. How the player will be feeling if he'll finally go to London feeling like an unwanted intruder from everyone in the team
    Simply: lolololololol

Not really, since we wasted an OA slot like this. I hope we still manage a good performance so that Rage will not come after the cries.

Rage would come because of the wasted OA spot ? We got our 2 CB even though the second one is hum-hum. It's ok.

I'm not really ok with this midfield (and not too happy with the strikers too.) :/ still a waste that could bite us later

In the start the duo made fools of themselves. No one's crying about Hayashi. Those are facts. Sad facts for Sekizuka&Hara combo.
