At one point, when I was working to calm down the Asia board, I was thinking of asking the admin. about creating the Asian rivalry boad within the Asia forum. But then again, I thought that would only be encouraging the trollings.

But at the same time, AminKor does have some points. So I would like to test it with this thread. This is the rivalry thread for the local Korean(or Asian) voice.

Umm...shall I start. Actually, this feels very stilted and artificial. Most rivalries starts out of innocent threads that gets sidetracked. Perhaps, we could post to this thread as a continuation when another thread gets sidetracked.

...and just in time for Pohang to suck.

But does anyone in Korea really follow K-league? There are really no threads dedicated to specific K-league teams, and with a few exceptions, I couldn't really tell you who supports what teams on this forum. Must explain why I saw a short article on Yonhap today saying the World Cup interest has worn off for the K-league.

To tell you the truth, now that they've started broadcasting more European games here, you can really see the stark difference in the quality of play. K-league really doesn't look that good and I think that Korea will return to its pre-2002 place in the soccer rankings by the next world cup -- Hiddink or no Hiddink. I honestly think Korea's football future is only going backwards -- they'll be hard pressed to even win the Asian games.

Its hard to keep up with k-league even if you are in Korea.
not many games are broadcast so unless you go to the game, you absolutely have no idea how the game went.

Unless you read Eoghan Sweeney's reports in the Korea Times, but now that he quit, there are little options.

Most true K League team supporters are the ones who can't speak English. Besides, Big Soccer .com is not the biggest soccer site in the world (well, maybe in USA). So ones that do come here are likely to be related with USA or other English speaking countries. I can't think of more than 10 Koreans that come here occasionally. It ain't fun talking to nobody...

I SUPPORT SEOUL UNITED F.C and THE ONLY REAL BLUE OF THE WORLD, SUWON BLUEWINGS. Down with all the fakes.

Pohang has a nice stadium but their fans suck. Sorry I can bring more fans by myself.

Anyang sucks cuz they prolly couldn't score a single goal w/o their Brazilian trio. Lee Young-pyo is just like.."yeah..wassup..i just chill..".

Seongnam sucks cuz their just Seongnam.

Thosse are the 3 teams I hate mostly.

I semi-follow the league but what i've noticed is that it misses the spark that wants the fans to love their team like as if it is theirs. It is missing out on some great rivalries (even tho u ppl that followed the league this summer prolly found out that the Suwon-Seongnam and the Bucheon-Daejeon rivalry is pretty descent) especially some derby matches. The K-League defeintly needs a stronger fan base and that fan base is Seoul. Without a Seoul team, the league ain't going nowhere. And Anyang will continue to suck. And Seongnam will continue to wear the same jerseys since 1992.

ok so I see that the semi-test done before turned out to be utter failure. I'm not too optimistic about this one either.

Yeah, I'm gonna jump on that Seoul bandwagon too. I decided to follow Pohang this year cuz I liked Hong, but just can't get into a team that's so far away I can't go see their games regularly. Guess I can see fit to try Suwon, considering I think their stadium is awesome and they're probably the closest team to my location.
