how was he last year?we read that sampdoria fans where celebrating when he left your team. All these true?

I cant really say anything about him yet, because I want to see him on the field. What happened last year cant really be a factor about him, dont forget that Greek Superleague level is a bit lower than Serie B if you exclude Panathinaikos,Olympiakos and PAOK...

There were too hush on him.
He was bought for 3 millions of euro in 2008, he was good, but Mazzarri (our coach that time) didn't see him. So he began to go around the world, he never had a real shot with Sampdoria. This year he had 14 caps, but mostly as substitute in the last five minutes. There wasn't a real trust around him. He played only 4 games with more of 10 minutes on the field and he did well in those occasions.
Zero goals, but you can't ask goals to someone who never play, he isn't Julio Cruz.
I think he will be good for Panathinaikos. Is he going to be a starter?

Well,I cant really tell.I think he was going to be a starter, but yesterday's team report, stated that he was measured with 17% fat, which is unacceptable for a pro football player. So now,he is on a special program to lose weight.

And the thing is,that we have a major problem in scoring goals since Djibril Cisse left the team.We are stuck with Toche, which is not good enough holding a spot and wearing no.9 in our team...

I really hope Fornarolli turns out to be quite good,so Ferreira can have a decent striker...

So you are saying that he was mistreated??

I know, but let the guy have a real shot in pro-european soccer. He didn't with our shirt.

Fornaroli could be good in Greek Football, i hope the best for him.
I'm saying that many supporters loved him when he came in 2008, but many of them changed their minds without seeing him having a real shot with U.C. Sampdoria. He played 22 games (most as a substitute, almost all of them) in 4 years of contract: how can you say if a player is suited to your football, your kind of playing? Simple: you can't. And that's why the situation was almost grotesque here in Genova.

Got it,thanks.I really hope that he turns out to be a good transfer for Panathinaikos.

Now you got Maxi to replace him,so not bad,eh?

He's good, but not so good. I would have prefer the return of Pazzini :D

Do you think that Panathinaikos will be able to reach the group stage of CL?

Surely Pazzini would awesome addition, but Maxi is good too.By the way, what are this season's expectations at Genova?Avoid relegation or mid table?Any other big signings except Maxi?

Well,to be honest,it s absolutely imposible to get to group stages. We will advance against Motherwell of course, but after that,at Ch.League Play offs,we will probably play with a much stronger and bigger club,so I think we will eventually play at Europa League's group stages...

Avoid relegation is the minimal, but doing better than that would be great. Mid-table isn't so impossible, if we buy the left-back and the left-wing we need. Estigarribia is close, apparently.

I know it's difficult, but it's a shame to left Panathinaikos and their great stadium out of Champions League. But, also, knock-out stage is a little easier this year than the past. Except Malaga, i think no squad is unbeatable.

How did he look Fornaroli yesterday? Has he lost some weight?

He is not ready yet so he played only 7-8 min,as he came in @85',but he seemed in a good shape.

As I told you,we really hope he produces, because yesterday Toche who started the game was at least 2 levels lower than the rest of our team.He lost at least 2 classic opportunities to score...

Anyways, good result for Panathinaikos yesterday.Motherwell was less than expected so we move on...

Next match at 08/08/2012 at OAKA stadium,PANATHINAIKOS vs. Motherwell

Malaga - Panathinaikos. It could have been worse.

    Was Fornaroli bad against Malaga?

Well,I am so frustrated with the result...1st half,Pana were nowhere in the game,Malaga dominated and got a fair lead 2-0.In the 2nd half,it was like Panathinaikos transform, pushed Malaga up,asked for something better and had 3 classic chances for that away goal which never came...Fornarolli was good, could have done better and score after a magic assist from Katsouranis...

Again,Toche was tragical for Panathinaikos, lost our best shot in the game, tet a tet with Caballero and shot straight at him...

Anyways, not over yet...A quick goal in OAKA could make miracle happen...We ll see...

I hope that you will comeback from this 2-0 on the 2nd leg.
With the stadium behind you, i wouldn't be surprised of a 3,4-0.

Well,a lot of changes in our team through this season...Most of our quality players had their contracts terminated because club's terible financial condition.Team fights for 5th place which will lead to qualification for European competition.
