And he's been the absolute best thing to hit the A-League since Dwight Yorke.

Nice debut for Cooke, it was great to see him playing again! I really enjoyed watching Fury, very entertaining match.

Good pick up for the Fury - they really need to secure their back line a bit more, and Marrone's a good start to doing that.

I watched the great man play a few weeks ago when he came to Sydney for the second time, he did some nice touches, but overall Sydney did a good job on him in keeping him out of the play as much as possible, I also thought he was playing abit injured, he didnt move around as much as he did in other games I watch him this year.
But Im glad Robbie Fowler is with us in the Aleague, he's not as fast as he used to be, but still pure class.
I was hoping he would score even.
Is he on a 2 or 3 year contract?
I thought it was only 2.

They deserve more time. I'm honestly pissed off that it's them heading South and not the Gold Coast.

FFA steps in at the last minute

    - New consortium was 800k short
    - Matheison consortium wound up
    - Fergie contract nullified
    - Fowler not in FFA's plans as player-coach due to lack of qualifications
    - All rostered players are free agents

North Queensland have signed Panni Nikas (CCMFC) and Isaka Cernak (BRFC).

Rumour doing the rounds is that they've signed some ex-Czech NT coach.

So they might even be slightly better than last season.

Sheesh, how many kids is that?

Given that they've lost their main strike weapon and are building a squad virtually from scratch for mine they'd do well to avoid the spoon.

I reckon they are going to re-position themselves as a club that develops young players and sells them on, because there is no way they are going to compete if they try and target players that Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Gold Coast are chasing.

New Czech coach will surely be a step up from Ferguson.

Must have been paying close attention to Sydney FC last season with the Czech approach. This way we can raise the standard of the league by bringing international coaches in who can teach Australian assistants their own approaches to the game.

I'm all for foreign coaches, as long as the local yokels take the time to learn from their experience, sooner or later we'll have to do this football thing on our own, would go better for all concerned if we do it with the highest level of knowledge possible!
