The 2010-11 Kuwaiti League season started at the weekend:

    Round Two Results

Al Nasr (KUW) 1-2 Al Arabi Kuwait
Al Salmiya SC 0-2 Kazma SC
Al Jahra FC 0-4 Al Qadisiya Kuwait
Al Sahel (KUW) 1-1 Al Kuwait SC

Al Arabi go top, joined by Kazma. Qadisiya get back to winning ways.

I do think this year we will have a split league. The current top four will battle for the championship. The current bottom four will do nothing as usual.

    Round 3 Results

Al Salmiya SC 2-1 Al Jahra FC
Kazma SC 2-0 Al Sahel (KUW)
Al Kuwait SC 0-2 Al Arabi Kuwait
Al Qadisiya Kuwait 3-1 Al Nasr (KUW)

Al Arabi won the big match of round 3 cementing their place at the top of the pile along with Kazma, followed by the dangerous Qadisiya.

Al Nasr and Al Jahra still on nil points.

Typical Al-Arabi. Always getting thrashed by Qadsia when it counts the most.

Kuwait's league was only becoming interesting when teams like Al-Nasr showed some signs of challenging the typical "elite". :D

Al Qadisiya Kuwait 4-0 Salmiya SC
    Kuwait SC 3-1 Kazma SC
Al Nasr (KUW) 1-0 Al Jahra FC
Al Sahel (KUW) 0-1 Al Arabi Kuwait

What a poor league this is really, the top four march on, the bottom four struggle. Must be one of the poorest leagues in Asia?

Kuwait might be at the Asian Cup right now, but the football at home doesn't stop.

Al Qadsia crowned Federation Cup champions once again this week.

Al Qadisiya Kuwait 1-1 Al Jahra
    Kuwait SC 6-1 Al Sahel
Al Nasr 0-3 Al Arabi Kuwait
    Kazma SC 1-1 Salmiyah

Kuwait, Qadsia and Arabi all tied on 20 points at the top. It's been a good week for Jahra who picked up 5 points, but still sit bottom.

    Round 11 Results

    Al Jahra 1-2 Kazma SC
    Al Sahel 1-1 Al Nasr
Al Qadisiya Kuwait 2-0 Al Arabi Kuwait
    Kuwait SC 1-1 Salmiya SC

The rounds are coming thick and fast now. Al Qadisiya lead by 2 points from Al Kuwait. Kazma and Arabi still in with a chance of the title at this stage, but my guess is that it will once again go to Qadisiya.

    Round 14

You wait ages for games to be played and then suddenly the rounds come at you from all angles. Here round 14 results.

Kazma SC 1-0 Al Arabi Kuwait
    Salmiya SC 0-1 Al Nasr
Al Sahel 0-1 Al Jahra FC
Kuwait SC 3-0 Al Qadisiya Kuwait

Right, so we have already discovered that this 8 team league is split to a top 4 and a bottom 4. We can now split this again, as it would appear that Kuwait and Qadisiya will be the top two. A great result for Al Kuwait, they are now 1 point behind Qadsiyia.

At the bottom we have the following:

    5 Al Naser 14 3 3 8 11 24 −13 12
    6 Al Salmiya 14 2 4 8 11 24 −13 10
    7 Al Jahra 14 2 4 8 8 23 −15 10
    8 Al Sahel 14 2 3 9 11 33 −22 9

Very tight, 3 points in it, 7 games remaining, who's your call to come bottom?

    Round 15 Results

Kuwait SC 1-0 Al Nasr (KUW)
Al Arabi Kuwait 1-0 Al Jahra FC
Al Sahel (KUW) 2-0 Salmiya SC

Al Kuwait go top, Qadisiya have had a bad couple of rounds.

    Hi. (-:

    Kuwaiti Premier League 2010/2011

Upcoming Round 16 Fixtures (Sunday 6th March, 2011):
    Al Kuwait - Al Sahel
    Al Jahra - Al Qadsia
    Al Naser - Al Arabi
    Kazma - Al Salmiya

I support Al Kuwait (or Kuwait SC, as Wikipedia calls it). I hope we win the league but our last game of the season is against Al Qadsia. It would be very nice if we can win the league before facing them.

    Kuwaiti 1st Division League 2010/2011

Upcoming Round 16 Fixtures (Monday 7th March, 2011):
    Al Sulaibikhat - Khaitan
    Al Tadamon - Al Yarmouk
    Al Fahaheel - Al Shabab

By the way, does anyone use Wikipedia on a frequent basis? I thought about cleaning up a few Kuwait-related sports (mostly football) pages on that website, from a grammatical point of view.

I update the league tables and the main pages, but not generally the clubs, as I have nothing more to add to them. Drop us a line on here or wiki (i'm druryfire on wiki aswell) if theres a certain structure you wish to work on.

Certainly a 2 horse race. I expect it will go right down to the wire, but Kuwait play Arabi next, 1st v 3rd, so this will show us what they are made of.

Excellant win for Jahra today, very tight at the bottom. Who's going down?
