They will not have the barca colors or the crest.

I'm really rooting for that green/orange combo.

Yeah I just read that on the miamifcb thread. The team name and colors are suppose to be unique to Miami.
Looks promising for Green/Orange and a mascot something like a Pelican or seagull. Especially if they dont use a nickame, a Pelican or Seagull would be unique.

I agree. Green/Orange seems bolder, too.

If you like blue on blue, why not this. The diamond pattern is very distinctive.

For orange & green these are still the best I've seen. The 3rd jersey could emphasize orange by swapping the colors on the predominantly green jersey.

I wouldn't mind blue/orange, or green/orange, but blue/white seem kinda dull to me. I like that diamond blue-on-blue with orange kit.

What would be perfect, to me, is having dark green on light green with orange diamonds. Same jersey, just trade the blue for green.

    Sounds OK to me, too....:)
But, I think the white/orange jersey above is the road jersey. I think it is a good one.

I would definitely go for blue and orange or blue and yellow, I wouldnt miind green if they picked it but for some reason i want blue in the mix, not really green, unless its like those tropicana jerseys, but not like that green and orange that some post had there, that just looked ugly.... cmon guys Atletico Miami, nickname: los tiburones to go with the dolphins amd marlins...

I don't know... Sharks just sounds too cliché in sports. I would just deal with whatever the colors are, but I really like orange and green.

We could also hope for a unique scheme like yellow/red. Can't think of any other club in the MLS that would have that.

Yellow/red is a good idea, maybe with stripes. It would tie in with the Heat and Panthers, and also the Strikers from the NASL. And if they stay away from black as a third color it would be very tropical looking. Hmmm... since we've had confirmation from Claure that the team will have it's own unique identity, I'm off to the drawing board!

I am awaiting the result of that. Red 'n' yellow could be exceptionally good.

I used a red/yellow look and the Sharks/Tiburones mascot suggestions. I know I said before I wanted to stay away from black, but I made it a clash kit they would hardly ever use. On the crest I did both English and Spanish versions, and in case you don't know the MMX is the Roman Numeral for 2010.

I make them from scratch in Adobe Illustrator.

Also, one note on my latest design, It was pointed out to me after that fact that mine bears a freakishly large similarity to Reading FC's crest. I came up with mine totally independently, and it's freaking me out how close it is lol.

Wear white and/or green against the Dynamo. Wear white and/or orange against the Sounders. No problem.

Of course, if we use the red/yellow that dr is proposing the the orange & green problem disappears...;)

I like the over all jersey design, except for the black. The red/yellow hoops jersey is pure Strikers. I like it very much both esthetically and as a link to our not too distant past....

The crest is quite good, too.

BTW, are you sure that is yellow/gold? It looks orange to me.

    Good effort, dr. Thank you....:)

Very, very nice Dr. Exactly what I had in mind. Red/yellow or orange/green work for me.

Antique, about the Sounders and Dynamo, I don't think our kit would be all orange or all green, so it wouldn't be a problem. Both the away and home kits could have orange and green, simply in different designs.

True. I was just point out to SoccerPrime that the other teams having one of the Miami colors was not a reason to think there would be a conflict. All teams have a uniform that is different that every other teams. Or can get one.
