Why do you have Harris ahead of Cato? From what I read he wasn't very accurate with his crosses, whereas Cato, when he played them, was pretty accurate. Just curious
Usually management starts the higher paid, newly acquired player over the prospect. Chavez was the starter until his national team absences and accompanying difficulties with the coaches. They got Harris for him, so that's my reasoning. I don't expect anything radically transformative from Doyle/Watson. What do we have so far? Barklage for Beitashour; Pierazzi for Baca; Harris for Chavez. Minus, plus, minus. More please.
barklage for beitashour is a massive f---ing minus it remains to be seen of pierazzi for baca is a plus. his pedigree suggests it will be but if he can't score or provide assists then it could end up being a minimal plus.
Untrue. For the first two months of the 2013 season (eight games), he is listed as an "unused sub". My recollection is that he was either injured (or pouting) during this time and didn't ever really get into 100% mode at all. I think any difficulties with the coaches very likely originated more with Marvin than the coaches. Perhaps he is a player with a lot of talent but an ego that is several sizes larger?
Injured. Once healthy, he started until he eventually disappeared. He certainly entered 2013 as a first choice starter, but was injured. I think you are right about the rest.
Cato crossed the ball? He would just run into multiple defenders and loose the ball or pass backwards.
In 1053 min this year Chavez had 1 goal and one assist the whole year. In 1034 min played this year, Cato had 1 goal and 2 assists. Just FYI, im not trying t make a point.
But, if you were, it would be that one reason for our dearth of goals in 2013 was our unproductive wing play, (outside of Salinas having a decent year).

That's a back "patter", a back scratcher is something you get in a massive tasty Hawaiian cocktail called the "Tropical Itch".
He looks like he just won the lottery. Come to think of it: chance of winning $10,000 in the CA lottery: about 1 in 1/2 million chance of Pierazzi scoring a goal: about 1 in about 1/2 million seconds Yeah, that's about right.
Who brought Chavez into the conversation.... he had a bad year. He was way more dangerous with the ball than Cato when he did play... and he played much better defense. I was questioning the crossing skill of Cato. That's it.
That figure is actually based (loosely) on his actual historical numbers. It was a joke of course - I like the signing - let's see how he does.
I actually have one from my last trip to Hawaii. (And I know it is a back-patter, it was Jazzy calling it a scratcher.)
