LOL, Badu philosophy it's all or nothing. Again the GK run as forward at corner kick in the final minutes of the game. I dont understand how this game was played.
I don't understand how I've never seen a resume of a Montedio's match where the pitch is enlighted by the sun. Always rainy or cloudy.
Its almost like a tradition in Japan to play such games. I remember matches back to 1992, 1993 where the waterponds were so big that they stopped the balls going into the goal. Japanese TV Loved this situations and made a lot of fun about the situations commentators making fun moments out of the disaster. The reason why the games were not cancelled at that time even they would have been in most of world today, was that J-League and the medias tried to use it to distance them from Baseball. Baseball always being cancelled with when raining. When that said Yamagata-Mito match should probably have been cancelled.
Do you remember when Pixy Stojkovic made his amazing juggling run on the pitch covered with water? Surely one of the most memorable happenings in the history of J League!
I think that's a philosophy which works very well for American football (love watching B10 for that reason), but seems pointless in proper football.
You don't want stuff like this happening all the time, but you might as well enjoy it when it does. This was a ridiculous situation but it was fun to watch:
Although because of the mild winter this year we havent seen it, but that level of snow is quite normal for the first 1-2 rounds in the spring in the danish league, I am pretty sure Hoolin would say the same about the norwegian and swedish leagues too. I guess the others also does it but in denmark when such weather the games are played with an orange ball.
Naaah i think I mixed nipponbasse and hoolin up, Avispa, Consadole same club same image LOL! My fault!
We can't be friends anymore. Though I suppose there are some similarities... two metroplises on islands off Honshu that politically andculturally dominate their regions, yet have forgettable football teams and are better known for baseball. Actually I'm not sure how good the meat packers are, but Fukuoka is a baseball town through and through. To the point that Avispa used to have facilities in Hawks Town. But i think that space is now used by one of those akb clone groups [shudder] it's a sad lot.
maybe they will rename to Yamagata Reysol soon heh No no, they are the mountain gods it fits them well
Yeah, I can confirm I'm not Scandinavian! Another similarity is that we've both gone up to J1, come straight back down and then not often looked like going back up. In the group alongside Oita and soon to be joined by Tokushima. All need to try and step up to the next level of the likes of Kyoto and JEF who always look like they should go up but then find a way to fail to do so.
What the heck's wrong with Avispa? Are they losing in purpose? Starting with 4 and half strikers certainly doesnt help vs a counter-attacking team like Nagasaki, but this is the worst defending I've seen for a while. And Pusnik is furious. Edit: and another one. 0-5 at half-time.
But Oh looked really bad today. And that goes for Avispa's Oh as well, who got subbed out in the first half.
