If we can get even half of the passion in the Brisbane-Gold Coast NRL rivalry going between these two teams it'll end up being the best derby match in the whole league.

    Keenly awaiting their first game.

Plus they have a great ground to play at too, with Robina Park- or Skilled Park I think its being called these days. I wish them luck! :)

I can see Sterj doing it, but why the hell would Culina go back now?

That's what I was thinking- even for marquee money- its still nothing like he'd most likely be on over there!

I hope they don't get culina, he's one of our most important players and doing well in Europe. The A league season is simply not long enough and the players are not as match fit for the whole year.

I still don't see it happening- but he hasn't ruled it out! ;)

Gold Coast are looking to be fielding a pretty strong outfit for their opening season. I'm still picking them to finish inside the top 4, especially if Okon can pull some coaching magic in the ranks.

I think it'd be pretty painful to take that in if you were a chick.

Maybe it's a psychological power play on behalf of the Gold Coast. Maybe they want the competition to think about their attacking penetration next year and strike fear into the hearts (and other orifices), of their opponents? Perhaps they want to send a message to other A-League teams?

'Forget the wooden spoon, we're packin' something uglier'.
