Great match between two titans of the sport.

Jens Lehmann stops two PK's in a shootout, as Germany advances without a miss from the spot.

I had to watch on Univision (I don't speak very good spanish). Can someone tell me what the heck was happening at the end with the pushing and shoving?

Pretty exciting match. I thought Argentina was looking like a potential champion. Oh well...

Argentina Deserved to lose it, because after they scored the Goal they went Dead, and they didn't Sub in Messi.

Pathetic win by Germany, but hey a Win is a Win.

Wasn't that Oliver Bierhoff that Heinze was going at after the game?

Argentine goalie was hopeless, seemed like he never had faced a PK before. That being said I think all of us were expecting Germany to win if it came down to PK's. Correct? Losing that goalie to injury really hurt Argentina. Clutch play by Germany two pulling the game even with about 10 minutes left. I'm depressed. Congrats to Germany.

As a Germany fan I can breath a sigh of relief. However, Argentina were, I think, a great team. Tevez is absolutely incredible. The first half was a wonderful display of their work. Surprised that they did not "finish it off".
Having said that, the much criticised German backline did very well and did not give the "fatal error".

Argentina would have been worthy winners of this tournament.

Incredible game. Unfortunately only one team can win, and today it was Germany's day. But very well played by the Argies, hats off to them.

Germany are the luckiest team in international football. Penalties, dodgy refs, dodgy decisions, home advantage, it's South Korea all over again. Let's hope that yet again it ends in semi-final defeat.

I wouldn't call anyone a bad loser without knowing what went on.

If you don't know what happened on the field at the end, and we don't, then lay off Argentina.

Yea it was. One would assume Bierhoff said something or responded to something said at him that set the Argies off. I'm sure we'll find out after the game one way or another.
