I guess that puts that rumor to rest. Financially Boca can't compete with Valencia though I would have been curious to see how close Boca could come had they formally put through an offer.

Mouche al Kayserispor... mixed feelings about this one. Hope to see much of Blandi in the future.

How many players are we actually going to be left with. Mouche going to Turkey and Insaurralde possibly going to Russia.. We are losing too many key players.

We were just in contention for a triple and now we are clearing out players like we just got sent to La B. On top of it we have yet to really bring in anybody worth a squat. If it's true about Insaurallde then I'll really be pissed. We've seen eight, nine if JMI goes to Russia plus Roman leaving and Schiavi hanging it up and in turn we've so far seen three players come to Boca. All three are returning loans. Somethings up.

I agree with the need to rebuild and usher in a new generation, but we can not seriously believe that ringing in such wholesale changes is going to be the answer. I'm gutted about Roman and until he is in anther shirt will hold out hope he will stay. We can't possibly have the resources financially to bring in the same quality we are losing, and I worry that as JF hasn't exactly been progressive in blooding youngsters into the first team, we don't have the quality coming through. This last season promised so much, competeing on 3 fronts until the very end, but it has ended in an almost nightmarish fashion.

    Alright, I'm back!
The obvious question: How the frack did it go so wrong so fast?
What are the dirrigentes at Boca doing? It's one mishap after another. I guess Roman once again lends credence to my suspicions that he's able to know where everyone is on the field all the time by some mystical power. He is clairvoyant! He saw this coming and decided to jump ship.
Of all the going-ons, letting Sosa walk out like that qualifies as the dumbest to me, in light of the Orion injury. Also, I find it hard that, with as much as Roman loves this club, that a competent club administration could not convince him to stay somehow. If they really wanted him to be there, he would be.
Say what you will about Mouche, unless his replacement was already there, I would never ship him out at this point. He is what he is, but he brought something to the side that no one else on the roster could (besides the most dumb plays per minute). And now, I gotta hear that Insaurralde leaving on top of Schiavi retiring? Need I remind us of the Ischia days and the first Falcioni campaign just how horrendous that backline was? Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! It's enough to make me go mad.

It was shaping up to be such a brilliant time for Boca. Right now, I have zero confidence.

On a bright spot we are being linked to Oscar Ustari! That was sarcasm but it's worth noting that he and JCF go back a ways and Ustari just had his contract in Spain terminated. I like Sosa much better but as a back-up when Orion gets healthy he could be a viable option.

I also agree that there seems to be some likelihood that Roman saw the writing on the wall and didn't want to have any part of it.

Hi guys, im back at last! I havent had internet the past few months so I missed all the games, apart from the last couple of games against arsenal and corinthians, but the less said about that the better.

So today it was confirmed that insaurralde went for 5 million, to be honest, its not bad business, just a year ago you wouldnt have got 1 million for him the way he was playing, but put into context with the complete dismantling of the team its a disaster.

Losing the copa and clausura hurt a little, but I was just happy that we fought for those tournaments. But this is unbelievable, I cant believe what angelici is doing to the club. I can accept selling players, but to just destroy the team is unacceptable. Its interesting that riquelme in the end didnt do the press conference that angelici wanted him to do? Maybe he was refusing to toe the line?

Yea, I feel the same way as English Bostero. In a vacuum the Insaurralde transaction is not a bad deal for the club. But right now it feels like they are tearing apart the team. It's extremely dissapointing, the fans deserve better.

I think you guys are going to be fine, probably will have a mediocre to a decent season but starting from the ground up is not always a bad thing. This team was running low on gas. So a new generation will be good. I know you are one the grandes and always expect to be near or close to the top. Falcioni time is probably ticking and for your sake, I hope Diego does not come and take over. I have said it before, I think Vasco will be a DT of Boca someday, probably sooner than later. It's an interesting time for Boca.

Its nice to be back, hopefully I can inspire us back to glory:)

Ive been too depressed to write on here the past couple of weeks, but now I really need to have a moan, and nobody in england is really that interested in Boca.

Hey supamario i was gutted when you guys lost the title on the last day, as soon as we were out of the race I was backing your guys to do it. Just a shame the team with a pub teams stadium won the league instead.

Does anyone know whether Schiavi is gonna retire? Any talented defender from the reserves?
We would probably be crashed totally this coming season if we dont get any decent defender to replace the four defenders left - JMI, Ronca, Ruiz and Sauro. And I dont really think Jonathan Bottinelli is the answer...

I suspect you dont have much in the reserves since you're recruiting Lisandro Magallan, Gimnasia' young and promising CB. You're also targeting Tiago Casasola from Huracan.

Doesnt it worry anybody else that the only players we are targeting are from the b? What about vargas and cata diaz, walter samuel, those rumours were rife in the winter and now we are shopping in the bargain basement.

As for schiavi... to be honest he is past it now. He has made quite a few errors which have cost us this season, and he isnt going to get any better is he? After the copa I was happy to see him retire, hes been a great servant to boca. But right now we need someone with his experience to see the kids through, even if he doesnt play everygame.

Are we going back to the defense (or lack of) that we had during borghis' reign?

I am as baffled as everyone by our current recruitment policy. You would think with Roman's wages off the books we would have some money to spend!!!I love to see players come through from the youth system and we definitely need a younger side but at this rate it will be a team full of kids!

No way you can bring those players with your current financial situation...
Those questions you're asking are also asked by a lot of Boca fans though.

Fabian Vargas is still an option as Independiente brought in Jonathan Santana instead of him.

Cata Diaz just signed with Atletico Madrid so impossible as of now.

Samuel will stay with Inter another year, hope we could get him next year.

I think the best thing we can do now is stealing Nico Burdisso's brother from River.LOL. But Benfica is rumored to be interested in Guillermo as well.

Word is Roman will just retire rather than find a new club.I could still see him making a return in 6 months to a year if we have a new manager who he gets on with better but if not we were lucky to have him!
Guillermo Burdisso looks like he is on his way but we still need more imo!

It might be the best choice for all the Roman fans as well. I just cant imagine him suiting up for another team.

Ustari and Burdisso, I have to say, so far so good. Goalkeepers, tick. Midfield is already a bit crowded and we have some talents like Paredes and Pol coming up. Forward is not too bad. More investment in the defence for the future will be cool. Hope both Magallan and Casasola would arrive.

I dont agree with that... even though im gutted to see him leave, i still think there is a place for him in football somewhere. I was hoping he would go to brasil and play in a team where he would be appreciated.

I think without roman we will be quicker, and we might start seeing silva start to get more service and goals.

It looks as though burdisso will come to boca, but i dont trust anything i hear until i see him playing. The amount of times i read that roncaglia/sosa had signed and we all know what happened there.

Anyone hear about what happened with roncaglias transfer? He was supposed to be a free agent after his contract ended, but his registation was with fenix in uraguay. Very dodgy.

    ANGELICI?????
