Yeah I know. You cannot surpass perfection, but they have somehow. Generally speaking The special edition NTSC versions have always been a little taster for the next Pro EVo game. So I reckon we will still see a few more changes for next Fall.

Trust me, the minute you get on WE9 / PES5, you'll go - Jesus! Its better! WE8 what?

And will have forgotten about how good the latter version was. :D

Licenses... that would bring the game to perfection.

That's a bit shallow, but yeah it would.

yes, i know. the true way to realize how good a new WE is, is to play for a few weeks, and then trying to play an older version!

    ganu answered this perfectly.

i could give 2 flying f's about licensing. even if they had 100% licences, i would still end up playing with an edited version. online community will always be better than the game creator.

Ganu I agree completely... its totally shallow. However, both you and astabooty already pointed out that the gameplay is almost perfect. Therefore to reach perfection, all we have left is the licensing issue.

Although we can't think of much now, however I could if needed, there is a lot to be fixed/improved.

i agree with all of you about WE/PES!
im glad there are people that think the same as i do about this game
if you trully know about football then pes/WE is the PERFECT game to buy
i always bought fifa but now after i bought my first we game (yes this was my first :( ) i cant wait until they make more and more...this game is soooo close to being the perfect game
all it needs now is more liscences and i think it will be IMPOSSIBLE for any game to match this (well its already impossible)

EDIT: whats also so great about WE is that i can play the master league forever and i never get bored of playing the game!
it is much harder than fifa
i always used to win in fifa in world class 6-0 almost every game but in WE its much more realistic
all i have been doing lately is playing this game nonstop its impossible to stop playing it (for me)

I just played Sweden vs Denmark. The game was so tight it was amazing. Could have gone either way. When I went 1-0 up, the AI attacks more and thus leaves massive gaps in the defense (read what happens in real-life.) I went on the counter 2 v 2 and scored a slick counter-attack goal.

Thats what makes it rock. In Fifa you never get goals like this. The midfield never goes past the half-way line. In Pro Evo, when you go all out attack, even your CB's come forward!

On Master League I got promoted with AEK Athens and win the cup in my first year. I'm playing with the default players (Castillo etc.) I've signed Miccoli (absolute class) and Nakata in the summer.

I need a new Left SMF, so I'm trying to land Fernandes without going over budget.

a word on the master league:

i like it and i think it should stay (with some improvements), but i wish they did a similar thing but with the leagues instead.

    now two questions for ganu:

have you done multiplayer yet? i find myself losing or barely winning against people i could dominate before. i see this as a good sign.

also have you patched your's yet? i just downloaded the ole light gangster patch. it is supposed to be pretty good.

Does your computer need a dvd drive to play the game? Both of my cd drives won't read the disk :( .

    * I think, its maybe the beefed up AI, players form, weather conditions, pitch surface, maybe even the players getting fired up when you foul em. That would be awesome. Sometimes, I can rape people 4-0, but struggle against inferior opposition, where everything just seems to go their way. In that respect - just like football...

    * Not patched as of yet. But will do so, when I can be arsed.

Yeah it does. On account of the ammount of info on the disk I would imagine.

You could download it off the net with some form of crack. But then again, if your computer hasn't got a DVD drive, I doubt it has the capabilites to run the game itself.

    Minimum Requirements:

Intel Pentium III - 800 GHZ
    128 MB RAM
    4x speed DVD drive
NVIDIA Geforce 3 or ATI Radeon 8500 video card
    800MB Free hard disk space.
