The Jersey Giants-Washington Redskins game is at half. The Giants lead 17-7. Regardless of how the game ends, is it just me or has this been one of the dumbest, most embarrassing and pathetic displays in recent memory by the Skins? Meanwhile, there are hints of brilliance and potential all over the place.

Meh, same old Skins. I predict this team will beither 7-9 or 8-8 for as long as Dan Snyder owns the team.

We always look like shit in the Meadowlands, I'm not ready to slit my wrists yet. That said, the offense looks about the same, which is depressing as hell. Our punter is tied with a tight end for leading scorer - and the tight end got his touchdown in garbage time!

Second week of football, second collapse by a highly-touted and highly-ranked Big XII team. And while Oklahoma State was being humbled by Houston, I wonder how many people noticed that Texas was only up on Wyoming 13-10 at the half. They went on to win convincingly, but right now my conference isn't living up to the preseason hype.

At least 3upsets yesterday in the Top 20. The standings should be interesting when they come out later today.

Campbell sucks. But their entire offense continues to implode on them inside the red zone. I have no idea why Danny Boy decided to spend tons of money on the Skins defense in the off-season.

CUZ Danny hasn't learned defense from offense yet. He figures defense wins games.

BTW: My Terps ain't lookin' any better, but I still wouldn't "boo" them or the Skins off the field.

Skins were lucky to beat the Rams, who are a really horrible team.

If the Skins want to be a serious playoff contender, they need to start scoring TDs.

Campbell didn't look bad. The play calls were especially horrible in the redzone though. Campbell didn't even get a chance with goal to go. Portis got a pass attempt in goal to go before Campbell. WTF!? That's worse than Randel El getting the first passing play last week.

I only remember Tech being an underdog at home something like three or four times over the past 10 years. I'm still not sure it's safe for me to post my thoughts on Tech this season and remain composed and reasonable. I had prepared a post after the Alabama game and decided not to hit submit so now it's sitting in a notepad++ tab along with some Marshall thoughts. I'm going to need a long cooling off period before I can comment on the last game.

My boys are 4-0 and the bitterness of last season is starting to slowly fade away. GO BLUE!

Who woulda thunk the Redskins and Steelers would have identical records at 1-2.

Watched the last minute of the Steelers game. Two fourth down conversions in 47 seconds by Cincy. If I had not seen it I would not have believed it.

    We're really missing Polamalu.

Terrible defending on that final drive.

It was absolutely shit defending. We're definitely hurting without Troy, but the truth is the Kidwells are responsible for that loss. They walked in, Cincy scored... then they scored again... Then the game was over.

Needless to say, they're not invited over on Steeler Sundays anymore.

Was it me or did it just seem like there were a lot of missed FGs yesterday ?

Oddly enough it seems like there's one blocked FG every week now. Kind of nice to see NFL teams focus on special teams a bit more.

How do you feel about Tech's special teams overall?
