Antonio Tapia is one of the coaches rumored to us. The ex-Malaga and Betis coach.

The new coach will probably be Spanish.

Lillo and Garrido are also two of the coaches being rumored to us.

About Tapia I don't know that much, which system he uses, if he plays offensively or defensively etc. I jst know that he had a successful spell at Málaga and he was the one that gave the chance to Koke in the first team for the first time. Koke is also rumored to come back to us now in January.

Lillo is being considered the "mentor" of Pep Guardiola, according to Pep. I like his philosophy and I think he would fit in with that offensive minded game. He hasn't really coached any big clubs, though he had some successful years with some midtable teams in Spain.

Garrido did a pretty good job for Villarreal from what I remember. A interesting option.

The Portuguese ex-coach of Braga is in Athens to watch our game against Atromitos and to discuss the possibility of becoming our new coach. I heard good things about him, but let's see.

Koke is also in Athens for the game and hopefully he will sign for us soon.

Vranjes left and Cesarec is on his way out.

Game against Atromitos starts in about a hour, Greek Cup (Round of 16).

Yeah, he is getting better game by game. 2 goals in 2 games now.

He is being targeted so bad though as I wrote in the Nery thread. He showed some winner mentality today, too bad some other players in our team are a bunch of woosies.

A disgrace that the season is practically over for us in JANUARY!

Hopefully the new coach can start building something good and that he will stay for many years.

Another referee that stole points from us!

    0-0 away against Atromitos.

We've played them 3 times this season and we've got 3 red cards!

7(!!!!!!!) red cards so far this season. Imagine if we would be a team that played rough and dirty how many we would get.

Maybe someone should open a new 2012 thread here.

1-1 away against Levadiakos in Machado's debut.

Probably you guys gonna think that I'm using the same excuse after every bad result of ARIS. But this is seriously the worst thing I ever seen in my life when it comes to football and I've been watching football for a long long time.

Another red card and that makes it 9 red cards this season, in 20 games (!!!!!!!). No penalties awarded to Aris so far, but in that we have a tradition since we only get a penalty every 2 years.

This is a parody of football and I'm not joking. A Levadiakos player takes a Aris player down brutally, he already had a yellow card from a earlier challenge. The referee chooses to give the yellow card to a other player though (!!!) so that he doesn't need to send off a Levadiakos player of course. Only that should normally lead to a lifetime suspension for the referee, but that's in a normal league of course. On top of that he gives a yellow card to our captain because he complain about the decision and then he later sends him off for a tackle.

3 latest games and 3 red cards for ARIS! I guess they are trying to make some kind of record there.

All this is a result of the system with Marinakis - Gagatsis - Vassaras in charge. The olympiakos president, the ex Greek football federation president that is involved in paok and olympiakos and vassaras the one in charge of the ref's. Of course all of them have strong connections to some of our rival clubs.

They just keep going with their little game and we are the ones losing.

ARIS have a very open opinion about all those 3 bastards, unfortunately that doesn't make it better since now they are slaughtering us (with the ref's) so obviously that even a blind man can see it.

Just some days ago on of our directors was criticizing vassaras openly and asked for him to resign, he even asked for them to have a live debate but of course vassaras didn't appear.

ARIS also made a official statement about whats going on in Greece and what's supposed to be a clean up of the Greek football. In fact just some faces changed and it became even more obvious.

I can write endlessly about this subject, I just think it's so boring though and I just write about it because it has to be said, they have taken the destruction of the football to another level. A level never seen elsewhere in the history of football.

Who's going to save Greek football and sports in general? I seriously have no idea. Unfortunately UEFA is still just a spectator...

3-1 win away against Doxa Dramas.

Great performance with many opportunities to score.

Nery did his best game so far this season too. 2 goals. Acosta scored one too.

Yeah Nery was great last game. Hopefully he can continue that way.

Toja has been injured lately, so he hasn't played that much. He was subbed in for a while last game though.

    ARIS - Levadiakos 2-1

    2 more goals by Nery!

    What a game.

    Just look at the stats:

    Shots (on goal): 20(11) - 3(1)
    Saves: 0 - 9
    Corners: 20 - 1

That's crazy. Levadiakos scored on their only shot on goal in the 5th minute and then they just defended. At least 15 of those shots we had were really good chances. It took 89 minutes to get the lead though.

Nacho is practicing with the team and Machado gave a hint that he might count on him for the rest of the season.

Hard to say though since he gets injured all the time.

    8th at the moment.

Playoffs seemed to be impossible to reach some weeks ago but now we are only 4 points behind 5th spot.

We play the 5th placed team Skoda Xanthi next week.

    Another great win.

0-2 against Skoda Xanthi. A really difficult away game.

Goals scored by Umbides and Nery Castillo.

Nery scored his 7th goal in the last 5 games.

    Here are the goals: http://dai.ly/wTERQa

Two blackouts during the game also.

Our fans lighted up the place a bit though :D

Lazaridis again! 1-0 win against OFI.

Now 6 points up to 5th spot.

We are currently 7th in league, but only 2 points behind Tripoli that are above us.

The thing is that aek that are 5th have huge economical problems so they might not be able to play in Europa League next season, and the might and hopefully will even get relegated to 4th division.

That makes it possible to reach Europa League by finishing 6th. Hopefully we will finish in the top 5 anyway so that we won't have to think about that.
