the funny thing is that actually they'll probably meet Seoul for the moment.

Kobayashi has been preforming great this year. Okubo again working his thing. Renatinho is for me vital player in their team and Kengo Nakamura can have his day I guess

But key word in frontale is TEAM. As a TEAM they can preform very well, but they dont have the quality imo to afford days off and not preforming as a team not in top 16 of AFC

Anyways congrats. Marinos I guess to be expected. Hats off to you mr. Saito

What do you mean? Iirc, the only team they can't meet out of those Gordon quoted is WSW, because they were in the same group.

honestly another problem in that action is Nakazawa watching the ball and not who's in the box.

Poor show. I expect that from the Chinese, but South Korea should have higher standards than this.
Then again, I'm sure they can always fabricate another imagined rising sun flag (complete with a photoshop in their news) to justify it to themselves.

No need to exaggerate now for an incident, rising sun flags do wave at stadiums at times, and other types of flags have waved from the koreans in korean-japanese matches, but I'd like to not get into a sociopolitical discussion about that :D.

Popovic should use Takeda instead of Kim and he should not use Someya.

Penalty. Shandong 1-0, Cerezo don't look like it is going into the final 16 anymore.

Watching the replay it didn't look like a penalty to be fair :/
Forlan close to scoring... could've changed the flow

Sanfrecce struggles to create a simple chance. Hard to break the aussie's defence. I wonder how they will manage to score. Aoyama missed a great opportunity during first half.

Is Cerezo's Popovic still a poor team ?

Forlan shooting from everywhere whenever he has the ball isn't helping him

Cerezo is creating several chances, Forlan should not have missed that one-on-one header.

It's the ref who screwed Sanfrecce in the last minutes of their away game against FC Seoul three weeks ago. AFC dispatched their special 'dark' forces to doom Cerezo this time as you can be sure that if they'll be able to get it overturned to 1:2 the ref will blow the whistle until Chinese team will advance...
