I like it when people post their list of picks so far with their latest pick - it give good context. :)

Cribbing again from Harper916's list-making style:

    Second Round
    13. bmo180 - Josh Gatt
    14. Neuwerld - Brek Shea
    15. Academìa C.F.(AutoPenalti) - John Anthony Brooks
    16. Sebsasour - Herculez Gomez
    17. Harper916 - Stuart Holden
    18. MI-Soccerfan - Sacha Kljestan
    19. Real Soccer FC(soccersubjectively/joe cleats) - Steve Cherundolo
    20. Hararea - Terrence Boyd
    21. Sean... - Jose Torres
    22. Deportivo Vejete(Mr Martin/deuteronomy) - Eddie Johnson
    23. MLSNHTOWN - Chris Wondolowski
    24. Balerion - Matt Besler

Four players remained in the 2nd Round this year: Gomez, Kljestan, Torres, and Wondo.

Two players dropped from Round 1 last year: Shea and Holden.

Two players rose from Round 3: Gatt and Cherundolo.

Besler rose from the 4th Round and Boyd from the 5th Round.

The biggest movers were Brooks (#198 last year) and EJ (#151 last year).

Holden, Kljestan, Boyd, Gatt, and Wondo (and Pontius, who was taken early in the next round) were the guys Deportivo Vejete were looking most closely at for our 2nd Round pick, in addition to EJ, who we gladly took.

I didn't see this suggestion in time to add a list to my last post, but I'll try to remember to do this in the future.

MI-Soccerfan, how many versatile midfielders does one team need? :)

Love the Boyd-Agudelo foward combo that Hararea has picked up. I think they'll both be productive in 2013 and the upside is enormous.

The key statement in that article is this:

If true, then I don't think he is currently eligible for the draft. Maybe we should call in our neutral arbiter, Maximum Optimal??? :D

I asked him in an inbox conversation before the draft and he said he was eligible

Damn I was hoping Johansson would drop to my next pick... its a great selection if he is eligible... He was suppose to be in this camp before injury, so it seems like he would be available to me. But there are people much smarter in that stuff than I am

I sent Max opt a message a few minutes ago, before bmo180's post. Can anyone find a link to an article that says Klinsi had called him in to the current camp? That may go a long way to helping clear this up.

Reportedly, he was invited to attend as a spectator, not as a participant.

Max is clearly the ultimate judge, but I'd suggest that he re-consider this one. Until a cap-tied player has his switch approved by Fifa, I don't think he's eligible. So no Osvaldo Alonso (who I'd love to take).

I've found a couple of different articles, both leaning in opposite directions.

This one says he was prepared to cap tie himself to Iceland.

    http://insider.espn.go.com/sports/s...ow-much-aron-johannsson-help-us-national-team

These two, from mid December, say that he would have accepted a January call up to the US camp.

Looking at recent drafts, neither Fabian Johnson nor Jermaine Jones was included until after their one-time switch had been approved.

Like I said earlier I don't follow this stuff all that closely. I did not realize he was provisionally tied to Iceland and would have to file a switch to play for the US.

Someone mentioned it earlier, it is similar to Osvaldo Alonso who is not eligible, so if I had a vote/say I would think Johansson is not eligible... but either way it goes its not a big deal to me

Alonso has played for Cuba's senior team though, he's not even eligible for US for a couple years I think. Aron has only played for Iceland's U21 and could play for us right now.

I did my homework and asked the judge before the draft and like I said I kinda planned on him falling, if you guys wanna change the ruling no biggie I guess, but I dont really agree

This is the sticking point. Right now he can not play for the US... he has to file a one time switch and until that is filed he is not eligible for the US. Like I said to me its not a big deal either way
