Thy hopes are granted. Uva won the second match 1–0 and then defeated Norbritz 4–1 on PKs. Sorry lads, but no Hokkaido team in JFL yet.
Yeah I feel so sorry for Norbritz.... so much underdogs and so close to do the impossible...... and this underlines my concern for JFL being a closed entity for teams wanting to go up that has no J-League aspiration. JFA needs make it easier to get relegated.
Well, two such teams made their way up last season, so one may hardly call JFL the closed entity. And Uva themselves are not exactly a J. League aspiring team, too – so it was a fair battle. The existing 2+1 relegation scheme is enough IMO.
It's sad to see Norbritz got this close to promotion... one really starts to wonder whether playing one game in Hokkaido (or at a neutral venue at least) would have affected the result in some way. Sucks that Hokkaido League will be a one-team contest for another year, and no other teams will probably emerge as long as the hokuden guys stay there. But let's look on the bright side, I think this was a great season for Hokkaido football in general. Consadole had an embarassing season but the homegrown youngsters were pretty interesting, Norbritz arrived unbelievably close to the JFL, Iwamizawa Hokushukai made it to the finals of the nationwide Prefectural Leagues cup, and for the first time in 8 years or so a team from outside Sapporo placed second in the league. I'm looking forward to a great 2013, hopefully Hokkaido will catch up with the rest of Japan sooner or later
FC Tiamo (from Osaka), Takasago Mineiro and Dokkyo Kemaridan (both Hyogo) and Mitsubishi Motors Kyoto (er, Kyoto) are through to the last 4 of the Kansai Prefectural Play-offs competition after winning their sections of the group stage. The overall tournament winners will replace relegated OKFC in the Kansai League Division 2 next year; the runners-up take part in a further play-off against Kyoto Shiko Club, who ended up next to bottom in the division. I think I forgot to mention that Celeste from Tokushima are the rather surprise winners of the Shikoku Prefectural Play-offs competition. They will therefore replace relegated R VELHO and as per Kansai there will be an additional play-off in the new year between play-off runners-up FC Mirepoix (from Kagawa) and the team that finished seventh in the Shikoku League, Minami Club.
Mito's youth team won promotion to the Prince League for the next season. Kofu and Tochigi made it to the playoffs but missed out. It may seem like a small thing but the Prince League is likely the biggest potential for a club to develop talent. It's been arguably one of the biggest reasons for Verdy success in young talent to join the club (or be sold).
When its more difficult to get relegated than being promoted then its a closed entity. Mention just one league just over the regional level where theres so few promotion spots and compared to how many getting relegated. German 3.Liga 4 down 4 up, french National Championnat 4 up, 4 down I could keep on.
As I understand it it goes well, yes theres some issues to be solved, but the club declining a merger will look really bad. The issue here is aparently who is technically going to swallow the other, and the 2 set of fans has funny enough completely different views of that. However FCK's problem is that the club is made is an opposition to Volca and that puts them in a difficult situation.
The finalists will be both of the Hyogo teams. Looking back at the Prefectural League games between the two, Takasago Mineiro won one 3-0 and the other was a 1-1 draw, although Dokkyo Kemaridan actually won the title on goal difference. The Play-off final is on 13th January.

Okinawa's FC Naha have won promotion to the Kyushu League 2013; the runners-up of the Prefectural Play-off tournament, Nakatsu Club from Oita, will play off against MSU FC, who finished ninth in the Kyu League. Takasago Mineiro from Hyogo have won promotion to Division 2 of the Kansai League. Kyoto Shiko Club will play off against Prefectural tournament runners-up Dokkyo Kemaridan -- also from Hyogo -- for the remaining spot in the division for 2013. There's confusion over the promotion/relegation situation in Shikoku, where FC Mirepoix from Kagawa were scheduled to play off against the seventh-placed Shikoku League side, Minami. But there are reports that an as-yet unknown team are set to withdraw from the Shikoku League, meaning that FC Mirepoix will instead play off against R VELHO -- who finished eighth in the Shikoku League and had been in line for straight relegation -- with Minami remaining at regional level.
In the Kyushu League promotion/relegation play-off game today, Oita's Nakatsu Club beat MSU FC 4-1 and so go up to the Kyu League for 2013. MSU are relegated to the Miyazaki Prefectural League. In the equivalent fixture in Kansai, Kyoto Shiko Club held on to their regional status by beating Dokkyo Kemaridan 1-0. Meanwhile in Shikoku they decide these things over two matches (I won't say home and away because they're actually both at the same venue) and after the first leg R VELHO are 3-0 up against FC Mirepoix. The whole of the 2012 Regional League season effectively finishes next weekend with the return fixture.
Not that I've seen. Of course it's completely ridiculous that in the year 2013 there are regional leagues without an official website to communicate this sort of basic information.
R VELHO beat FC Mirepoix 2-1 in the play-off second leg and so remain in the Shikoku League for 2013. That concludes the 2012 Regional League season.
