17 year old Matsumura scores on his debut for Vissel.

He's been on fire lately. I believe he has 8 goals in 6 games in the U-18 premier league so far.

Mr Sato! You deserve a fine! Take a good example from your coach when talking about referees!

The same referee, Mr Takuto Okabe, allowed that famous PK when Sato scored after Makino put the ball on the spot and Hisato scored rushing from outside of the PA.

I haven't seen the situation, so I won't judge if he was right calling the referee amateur.

If the description of the whole incident is true then Hisato has a full right to scream to microphone anything he'd like too.

Ishige scored his first pro-goal just a few minutes ago.

Youngest scorer for Shimizu? Poor Consadole though, statistics say they only had one shot at home.

Kakitani is slowly but surely resurrecting his career, if he can keep this up for one or two seasons he might actually live up to his potential. Credit to Tokushima's manager last season (Forgot his name) but there was an article recently in Japan talking about how he 'fixed up' Kakitani in J2.

Naohiro Minobe. For me he's class coach with vision and enthusiasm. Also great man ;) I'm a little astonished that he's not working in pro football right now.

    J2 is pro football

    Really glad for Ishige btw

Kakitani like I said in Cerezo thread, he is a beast and will become godly, that is his fate

Naohiko Minobe isn't working in J2 now. He's the head coach at Kyoto Sangyo University and acts as technical advisor to Sagawa Printing.

btw how is the plan for J3 coming up. Are we expected to see it fully functioning next year now that J2 expansion is done?

I don't know, but definitely not next year. In JFL, only Kamatamare Sanuki is ready to go Pro.

Just to avoid being off-topic, does someone know how the match-ups are decided for the quarterfinals? Is it a simple drawing with all 8 teams or something like the 4 teams of group stage vs the 4 ACL participants?

Accoring to FMarinos twitter they have been elimnated, with 2 games reamaining!??! The format is screwy to say the least, or maybe I translated it incorrectly.

Yes, Marinos is out already. They have 4 points and can reach only 10. As Kashima and Shimizu have 12...

Urawa are clinging on to the slightest glimmer of hope... just.

The Nabisco Cup doesn't matter a lot to the club, given the current circumstances, but it'd still be nice to get something out of it. Especially after that 4-1 drubbing against Cerezo, who are somehow only three points ahead and reachable.

4 clubs (each with a game in-hand) are ahead of Urawa in Group A. I don't see Urawa advancing to the knockout round. But I think they can still put on a good showing by finishing top half of the group.

I like him too. He's working as a commentator as well for one of the broadcasters isnt he? I saw him at the Cerezo-Jubilo-game doing to post-match interviews, and he's very interesting to listen to.

Yes, he works for SkyPerfect. I also happened to watch few games with him as the commentator. He's got also a Twitter account and seems like funny and down to earth guy.

    Only for you.
I always expected him to be meaningful in big games.
24 goals in the past 3 years.. Kanazono, in the first pro-year, made 12 goals. The half of Osako's contribute.
