Sorry for breaking in, but I just caught the beginning of the match. Your tradition of having the crowd song the National Anthem is absolutely awesome! It sent chills up the spine of this old infantryman. Obviously a class organization. Thanks very much. Oh, as an aside, could you please beat the crap out of the crapids!!
both Gomez and Pajoy have been good pickups. Lopez still looks shaky to me but not like list game that's for sure.
No way. He's had poor touches in front of goal (and that is obviously bad for a forward), but he's had some strong play in terms of gaining and maintaining possession and making passes. With a little more aggression in front of goal, he could be MOTM right now.
3 thoughts...... 1). maybe it's just me, but whenever Daniel starts the Union seem to do a better job of holding on to the ball, and breaking up counters. 2). Gomez........decent at free kicks.............. 3). Pajoy + Mwanga = potential without production. Better combo play with Marfan, but they leave far too many chances begging. I'm beginning to worry they don't have anything resembling a finisher on this club. Still wondering if Hoffman would get a shot to show.
But thats all that matters. Putting the ball into the back of the net. If he did that, the score would be 2-0 right now.
1. Agreed. Daniel should IMHO be the clear consistent starter at LW. He even had a nice defensive play too. 2. Absolutely. 3. I've got to think that Pajoy is decent at finishing given his goal scoring in Colombia. Tough to say so far though. Mwanga has always been hit or miss. Curious how Martinez is in terms of finishing.
Yes, Mwanga needs to finish something. It will make him more dangerous. Pajoy's desire improved throughout the half. Playing balls into space and allowing Pajoy/Mwanga to run onto the ball is working. Valdes' fitness may be tested if he keeps making 50-yard runs with the ball. The defense hasn't really been tested, but that may be McMath taking decisive moves on anywhere near the box. He looks kind of like a sweeper.
There is no recent conflict. Peter is Peter and treats his players with little or no respect. When a guy like that is in charge, random things happen, such as , say, trading away your top scorer, or blaming the Portland loss on your Captain, or changing playing systems on the fly.
We may not have scores yet but we are creating tons of offense which we completely lacked against portland
The first Colorado goal is 50% on McMath (punch the damn ball) and 50% on Lopez (mark your damn man). Give Mullan (a crafty veteran) some credit for streaking by McMath at the appropriate moment. The second is 50% Albright (why use a driver when a sand wedge would do?) and 50% on Nowak (a second CB would have been useful in this spot, huh Peter?).
