    Loss!
Even though Dallas lost to Columbus last week, they were on a 5 game unbeaten streak before that and were down to 10 men.
The Union is in freefall - it's a complete mess. A coach who's lost the plot and desperately looking to briong in someone, anyone who can partner upfront and score and sorry all you JPA fans - he's not the answer. 1 goal in 4 games so far, so we weaken our defense, weaken team chemistry and we will be 2-7-1 come Sunday morning.

This is all so sad.....I can't believe we've taken such a massive leap backwards from the heady days of last season

Attackers will exploit Williams' lack of size in central defense to head the ball into the net. Gaddis may be fast, but his positioning has proven to be poor; the attacks will be driven on the right through Gaddis. I do think he'll get better, but he's not there yet. Garfan is still our best option on the left. He needs to stay calm and not get carded this game.

If Freddy is suspended for this game (will the club appeal the card?), then we will not have any offense. Herdling has underwhelmed during his time on the field. Torres is injured. Marfan is in poor form. There are not a lot of good attacking options in the midfield right now.

So, that being said, I think this will be our first really humiliating loss. The scoreline will be 3-1, 3-0, or worse. Dallas will give us the Toronto treatment. With Nowak ripping the guts out of the defense, we will leak goals like a sieve.

Even though Freddy played great against NY, and I hope he can continue... I feel like Dallas will miss Zach Loyd more than we will miss Adu.

I think we build on the positives from the Red Bulls game and pull out a rare road win here.

Just a couple of tweeks to your lineup Dills.

    1) Even though Daniel is better on the left, I think we really benefit from the Farfans interchanging on the same side. So for at least part of the game I'd like to see Mike on Gabe's side of the field... so I show him exchanged w/ Daniel. KD and MF tend to switch from left to right during the course of the game anyway, so no big headline there.

    2) In my opinion, the only player that has shown any real chemistry with Pajoy is Martinez (partly because of his creative playstyle, but I'm sure language has something to do with it too). I'll admit that Martinez has benefited from coming on when the team was pushing against tired defenders, but I'd really like to see what he can do with a start. I've liked what we've seen from Herdling so far, but I think Martinez gives us a change to get more out of Pajoy.

This lineup assumes Califf is not available. If he is, then I would sit Gaddis. I would also lean Valdes to Gaddis' side of the field to cover for his lack of experience and his forward pushing runs.

Does anyone know why FCD played Seitz (rather than Hartman) in the game @ Columbus?
Hartman has really killed us in the past. I'd much rather have us facing Seitz.

It would be high comedy if Seitz started and he got a shut out against us.

Where were you yesterday? Marfan was really great on the ball, and no real defensive miscues that I recall

I agree with all of that but in my mind his great performance was negated by the fact he missed the tying goal standing 0.0000323 inches from the goal line.

But wouldn't that have been an offensive miscue? :p

Watching the game on DVR when i got home, it appears as though if we'd had scored there it wouldn't have counted anyways as the linesman had signaled an offsides on the Union..............on who I have no idea as it sure looked like everyone was onside, and not to mention there was a defender standing IN THE GOAL. According to the announcers there was an offsides flag on the play. Still he missed from point blank range regardless.

He definitely called something but I thought he was trying to signal that the ball went over the endline for a goal kick. Not sure how he could have called offsides on the play though, but with MLS refs, who really knows.

This is a must win and a game with seitz in net that the team has to beat, no question about it. Dominate them put shots on net and he will shit all over himself.
