Looks 10x better than the red lines on the shirt and the socks. Not to mention the navy bits on the home strip looking like large sweat patches.
I think the bird makes it a very unique shirt and it's subtle enough, not to feel embarassed when wearing it. Although without it, there's nearly zero design.
You can hardly see it, especially when moving around on the pitch. Much better than the red line going through the middle.
