He was playing against a rookie who was put as a starter on Chinese sold out stadium. And the rookie failed. The Brazilian track of Mariqui won't get any supporter on his knees praying for his club to sign him. The average level of Chinese ACL teams was exposed by Nagoya two weeks ago and FC Tokyo yesterday. You could call Yazawa, Watanabe (or Tanabe) or Fujimoto as godlike but... You'd have to watch every Guangzhou game this and last season to take an appropriate measure for his talent like you do with J League. It seemed like scoring a hat-trick against Reysol is easier than against, say, Changchung Yatai (man, when you're not closely paying attention to what's happening with Chinese clubs after looking at the table of the previous season you could think that half of teams were relegated and second half was promoted ).
lol my opinion of Muriqui doesn't date from this day you know, I watched Guanghzou a lot last year, just think his ability is fantastic. At least he's not proving me wrong so far.

Tamada sent a PK to China, there was a pitch problem because I don't see how he could shoot it this way.
It looks like it will be FC Tokyo and Nagoya in the knockout rounds. Gamba should just withdraw from ACL.
Hold your breath for Nagoya, that missed PK could be costly for them. Also, it's really important to qualify first in order to receive in the knockout round. I'm worried. Kashiwa can still make it, beating Buriram is totally possible and then they would have a final against Jeonbuk when, potentially, a draw would be enough.
So how many Japanese teams do you think we will see progress from the group stage? Gamba still have a slight chance, but probably not. Tokyo seems ok, Nagoya, if the motivation is there, should also manage without too many problems but with Reysol its hard to say.
Wow. I stand corrected! Didn't know the difference were that big. I think it was in a Sky Sports article I read it, but that was in connection to the Anelka-transfer. Based on budget, Shanghai Shenhua aren't exactly performing too well at the moment btw=)
must win for Kashiwa tomorrow, if they make it, a draw vs Jeonbuk will be enough because I don't think they'll win in China. I hope not. Nagoya needs at least a draw to make up for the disappointing 0-0 Tianjin.
Hoping for Gamba Osaka to pull threw against their next two (ACL) and league matches. I doubt they'll make it past ACL. Their 5-0 drubbing last Saturday is not for their moral. :\
Kashiwa currently leading against Buriram, 1-0. Central Coast Mariners are trashing Tianjin Teda 3-0, should Nagoya lose this one they would be reached by the Aussies...
lol Seongnam's keeper makes a kamikaze attack on Nagai, only a yellow. Thankfully for him he doesn't play for Sendai ... edit : crazy crazy ending Nagoya was close to take the win home.
Nagai should have done better with both chances. The ending seemed to be all or nothing from both teams. Very odd.
Jeonbuk wins away at Guangzhou and are now on top of the group, both Kashiwa and Evergrande share 7 points, Buriram in last place with 6. Kashiwa now needs to win against Jeonbuk Motors on last matchday and hope that Guangzhou doesn't do the same against Buriram...
No they only need a win given the fact Jeonbuk have nine points. That will be extremely difficult ...
