Not sure where to put this but Corinthians are in the next Club World Cup after beating Boca Juniors in the final. Ex Reds Emerson had 2 goals in the second leg, the first one assisted by ex Antlers Danilo.

Emerson also had the assist for the goal on the first leg. Corinthians plays a reactive football with a pretty strong defense, only 4 goals allowed in 14 matches.

So Lippi.. are you still into losing Champions League everywhere in the world, right?
Guangzhou lost in QF against Al-Ittihad. Bye bye, money-spenders.

I can't say I'm unhappy about seeing the massive spenders knocked out.

Honestly, I wish Guangzhou Evergrande would have progressed but part of me thinks they would have not won the final. I assume, as usual, as Saudi team will reach it.

But when your team puts 4 through your net and you put 5... It was an even match and Al-Ittihad were lucky to get through.

their foring players played top game in the final.

its gonna be an interesthing fifa world club champions league...

    ps:
    any info
j league champion vs who ?

predict for the j league champion? , between sanfrecce hiroshima or vegalta sendai ?

my choice would be vegalta sendai.
would be joyful to see their supporters in the fifa.

    I agree 100%

but I always saw them as a compact team, with some really good players

    - sakai
    - sugeno
    - wagner
    - domingues
    - tanaka
    - kudo

the problem is if i lookt at sanfrecce or hiroshima, i just dont see that many leader like personalities and daring characters and you have to be that way, when you are competing against santos and what not.
You have to play your own game and not get scared
Perhaps, 2 months ago I would think that to be Sanfrecce but they just have too many bi-polar plays
    Vegalta?
I still cant believe they are even fighting for a title, their team imo is a really average one, by individuals, but their team spirit and tactics keep them in play
plus loads of bad form from loads of teams including sanfrecce

I mean just look at last year

3 teams had 70 or more points

this year sanfrecce the leading team has 2 games before the end of the season only 58

I think Vegalta could do more than Sanfrecce just because they're a "squad" in the real sense of the term. They're united, maybe there are no stars (really? what about Ryang Yong-Gi or Hayashi?), but they can put in troubles anyone.

Go to wikipedia, get Cleo's name in Japanese and run some searches on google. He's injured.

Can someone unsticky this thread, the " I want to tryout for a Japanese team" -thread and the highlights-thread? Don't really see any point of having them here, and its annoying to have to scroll down everytime we visit this site imho.
