interesting, conte at wembley is a marketing trip. If conte can win with juve in champions, he becomes absolutely a top tier coach and that is good for his career. right now people regard him as skilled, but still in a trial phase. i can see conte becoming a lippi like figure in 5-10 years time.

Surely if he was from anywhere else but italy...like germany, england or spain, he would've been a God by now in front of the media. he's underrated and they're not giving him the credit he deserves. I really dont get why he doesnt get talked about more. Which coach in history of the game have done as well as he has in just 2 seasons?? as a new coach as well...bringing a team up from two 7th place finishes to two 1st place finishes to going that far in CL in the first year...all that with limited budget.

I'd say Klopp is pretty comparable and he's relatively underrated as well.

klopp has been around for over a decade. It took him a while to get where he's at now. but yes he is a very good coach, at least now that dortmund came this far, the media is wankin off to him now. lol

He's been around longer, yes, but the heights he has taken Dortmund too in a relatively short period of time (not as short as Conte) is commendable. Wasn't saying he's better than Conte or vice-versa but just that he has had similar accomplishments in a short period of time.

i think alot of coaches and execs go to these kind of games. He prob went to witness the atmosphere, maybe get inspiration to push Juve to get there. seeing it in person is prob more effective than watching it on a tv at home.
